Firstly, this place is absolutely beautiful. A warren of cosy rooms in a typical Antwerp 17th-century house. There is also a lovely bar in a separate room where you could easily lose an entire evening! The menu is high end and there's a set menu for 54 Euro. We enjoyed the food but had to wait at least half an... More

Lovely restaurant in the heart of Antwerpen, the restaurant on his own is like a piece of art, and i loved the ambiance/decoration of the place. The food was really good, but i personally missed this touch of creativity, that makes a chef recognizable. A couple little mistakes have been made, and i would have appreciated to get return of... Reviews on TA mostly speak about the ambiance (which is indeed special) so I will instead focus on the food. The gastronomic menu is really good value (54 Euro for three courses and desert). On our night, a salmon gravlax was outshone by its neighbour, a powerful salmon tartare. Then a wild mushroom risotto topped with delicately seared scallops. The... More

Within walking distance from the cathedral and hidden in a small alley. We were seated a small cosy room with a table nicely dressed for 9 people. The restaurant has been renovated by Axel Vervoort: warm colours and quite simple design respecting a classic atmosphere. The service was friendly and efficient. Excellent wine recommendations: the white Madiran with the desert... More

It's been a while since I last came here but when I read MarcPaesbrugghe was going to retire, there was no doubt in my mind I had to book a table. I celebrated my birthday at Sir Anthony Van Dijck over lunchtime. We went for the gastronomic lunch, it was absolutely splendid, real value for money. Of this 4 course... More

Located in a very quiet street of central Antwerp, cozy interior, well spaced dining rooms (there are several so you won't notice that there may be >100 guests dining with you), great degustation menu, good wine list but could have a few more options in my opinion (although we found an excellent Italian), very attentive service except for one low... Very nice location, well spaced dining rooms (there are several so you won't notice the more than 100 guests), we had the menu (good choice), food was great, wine list could have more options in my opinion (though we found an excellent Italian). Only low point was the payment which needs to be done off the table and took quite... More

Beautiful restaurant and setting in the smallest street of Antwerp in the old city. Already getting there is fun. You get well received, the service is pretty much impeccable, And the food is very good. Some dishes are amazing (mussels on artichoke heart with champagne mousseline), some less (entrecôte with bearnaise sauce) . Anyway it was a good night and... More

For those looking for an outstanding dining experience, plan to spend an evening in this high-end restaurant. We ate in the courtyard on a beautiful evening. The server was very patient explaining the menu in English and my selection of duckling in peach marinade was excellent! There was a good variety of desserts and coffees to finish the meal. This... There were eight of us on our visit. We all ate very well, drank excellent wine, and the chef had no problem modifying plates for one person in our group who can't have any alcohol or sugar. The food was some of the best I've ever tasted: refined, beautifully presented, thoughtfully prepared. If you can afford to eat here, do... More
