This is a very nice spot to have a drink. The building used to be a hospital and there's still a lot of fun signs of that in the place. They have a very good selection of beers and friendly staff. Although we haven't tried...More

A really popular waterhole in Leiden, Olivier serves over 200 different types of Belgian beer. The ambiance is really nice and this place is really popular with the students. A must try for beer lovers if you are in Leiden.
Cosy, informal and great range of beers. No lemonades though and poor selection of wine. Good place to hang out, love the large windows at the back that looks out to the square.
We love mussels and the ones we ordered at Oliviers steamed with beer were the best either of us have ever eaten. The wonderful bread with various spreads rounded out a perfect dinner. Excellent choices of beer and wine complimented oir meals.

I went for one of the Sunday/Monday roasts they have here and really enjoyed it. The staff were very nice and the inside of the building and the courtyard at the back are very pretty. Would return.
As it is a beer cafeteria, the main emphasis lies on (countless) Belgian beers. Housed in part of old hospital with lot of wooden decoration and historical pictures, the place has a great atmosphere. Choice of food is limited but has also on the menu...More
