Came here a couple of times as my wife wanted some gluten free food and they were recommended. Quite a small establishment, very popular, but we were lucky getting a space on the occasions we visited. Friendly helpful staff. Nice food and drink.

Excellent Coffee

This is such a lovely cozy cafe near the centre of Utrecht. It opens early (8am) and the coffee is fantastic - and the cafe has the Melbournian coffee house look which as Australians we really enjoyed. the coffee was strong, hot, and they also catered for soy drinkers. It was also nice that they had some gluten free options if you wanted a quick snack with your coffee.

Best Coffee in Utrecht

This is the best coffee I have had in Utrecht and I also love their cakes; the best part is that they also have several vegan options! Their tables are laptop free zones, but they do have one table (which sits three) where one can work. It's a small cafe and not one of those commercial places so I love it even more. Plus its right on the oudegracht!

Attracted by the saying from other reviews as "the best coffee ever", wasn't disappointed. This cafe is small but cozy, there is even a high table special for people who wants to work here, some pillows to relax. Recommend.

Very cozy cafe

This is a very nice little cafe where you can enjoy the picturesque view of the canals. There are not lots of seats but it is still a comfy cafe. The drinks and desserts are good and staff are friendly. The interior design of the cafe is pretty and you can lots of instagram-able photos inside!

Great coffee but a little too cramped

Upon our arrival to Utrecht, we sought to satisfy our caffiene addiction with one of the cities numerous cafés. A quick Google search suggested that 't Koffieboontje would promise this in a warm and cozy setting. Once finding the café, we initially had difficulty finding a seat as it was a very busy Sunday. However the staff were quick to serve us our coffees and we managed to grab a seat next to the bar. This proved to be a problem as our seats were repeatedly kicked by passing waitresses. The coffee in itself (a filter coffee for the purist and a soya cappuccino for the sweet-tooth) was adequate, but not amazing enough to justify the high price (8 euros in all) or the small size. The decor did not give a great impression as we felt like we were drinking coffee on a construction site. This coffee shop felt incomplete as if they had added decor to a building that was in the process of being renovated. Overall we would give this place a good three stars but we probably would not visit again.

I'm a picky coffee lover from Melbourne, Australia, and I absolutely loved the cappuccino here. Have had a nice sandwich here in the past, but didn't eat here this time. I recommend this place as it's nice and quiet and the coffee is great.

Chill and coffee

Grab a cappuccino, sit back and enjoy the warm inside while outside is cold and windy. This small cafe is the place you should go with a friend: it is cozy and it has a relaxing atmosphere. The coffee is really good and the prices are ok. Also the smoothies are recommendable!

Often rode by this cosy espresso bar and wondered what it was like. So one day when I had a day off I decided to go inside with my notebook (no, not electronic, but the kind with ruled pages) and I couldn't stop writing. A very good place to be well focused because it is quiet, decorated nicely. Now I have a card (when it is full you get a free coffe or tea) and go every now and then. Maybe tomorrow again. :)

Nice local place

This nice little local coffee shop has a nice selection of coffees, hot chocolate and tea. They have a student discount in the morning, and serve nice pastries all day. Good location right by the canals and not too expensive. Fast and free wifi too! Nice staff and great ambiance to work.
