The food was great - there's no denying that but not speaking Dutch did lend itself to a small issue I had. We had no booking and they managed to accommodate us upstairs at the back, which we had no issue with. They took our coats and we sat down and looked through the menu and ordered some wine and... Really great food if you are looking for something More special. Situated in the quirky Krommestraat In a historical building. Good service and cosy interior. Fine dining.

Four of us, one a six year old, sat outside on a nice September evening beside a small canal and said, how lucky we are. We ordered the three courses menu and were very, very happy with our food. The inside looked charming also.

Just walked around and found this very cosy place in a wonderful historic setting. We had the chief special menu which was very nice, the salad huge, and the meat nice. This is not a 3-star place so we were very content with the food and wine and excited about the ambiance. We will visit this place again.

The worst experience ever, even after complains they didn't offer an apologies for bad service and being forgotten as a costumer in restaurant during the Christmas dinner

I was taken here by two friends and they managed to squeeze us in at six because they were completely booked for the later seatings. The restaurant is by the canal and I found it quite charming. Service was leisurely--we spent 3 1/2 hours there, but the food was excellent. I had sea scallops with white chocolate and pistachios to... More

Visited the restaurant for 3 times during a 3-week business trip staying in Amersfoort. We dined out every evening but only this place we eat-in for 3 times. Interior of the restaurant was well decorated which was quite cozy. The menu was only in Dutch but the staff were very patient in translating/explaining the food they offered in English. We... More

Sitting on the terrace next to the canal was a real pleasure. The menu is ok and the food we ordered was good. Most of the menues were served with french fries, where I am not a fan of. Not overwhelmed, however not sure if much better alternatives exist.

Ate here on a recent busy Saturday night. Liked the feel and layout. Something reassuring and Dutch about the fittings and decor. Had the €25 fixed menu and wine by the glass. My steak was undercooked, ie it was cool and very pink in the middle. I brought this to the attention of management and had the problem dealt with... More
