Just had a nice lunch in the sun overlooking the harbour. Small lunch menu - really good sandwiches and a few salads. All nicely presented and very quickly served. Very enjoyable and a lovely view over the old harbour.

I frequently visit this place for a cuppa in the evening. Sipping a hot drink overlooking the old harbour. Brilliant, if it wasn't for the staff. Officially the terrace must be closed at 11 pm . However they start clearing the tables around you from 9 pm onwards. This is after they ask you every 5 minutes if you'd like... More

It is really a bar type of restaurant and we did not have a lot of options. Apparently they ran out of mussels as our local friend asked for it as he had it the previous week. We had to wait a while for the food. We had a white fish which was nicely panfried. Fries were not bad. Average... More

Poor service. The food is overpriced (14.5 euros for a sad ceasar salad.) the hamburger was just decent.

Be very careful with this place, as they use the bait and switch theory. 1)We asked if slibtong was served and were told yes by employee 1, yet to be told after drinks had been served that the resraurant did not serve this. 2)While serving drinks a bottle tipped over and about 25% was spilled. No new bottle was brought... More

It was not hot. Chips came and we were charged €7, we sent the bill back twice. Once to rectify the 1 crocketten and second time... More

A (rare) sunny day brought us to sit outside on the terrace with a lovely harbour view and sunshine in our eyes. Feeling so relaxed with beer on the table we felt like having a taste of Holland with the Dutch traditional "bitterballen", a must for every tourist in NL. The oily bitterballen were very very nice, dipped in some... More

My wife and I had a tasty and pleasurable dinner at De Korenmarkt. I had fish soup, which was very good, and a huge pot of fresh mussels. My wife had an excellent tomato soup, and prawns with noodles. The prawns were unpeeled, which was a little annoying, but very tasty. Service was friendly. Hoorn is clearly a place where... More
