No question about the food, it was very good; nor about the staff, they were really friendly....but two hours to eat only a main course and dessert it's unacceptable (we were three people); the efficiency is not their cup of tea.

Would have stayed out on the terrace but the pelting rain started and we were glad it did! The interior of this lovely old tower has charm and ambiance but most important the food was excellent! Waitress was efficient and friendly. When in NL, go for the FISH!

Always good to eat and drink at this restaurant! And for the kids, big pancakes! You feel never sorry to be here and especially in the summertime!

Atmosphere is one of the best in Hoorn in this old building. Interior fits to it. Food is good, wine is allright. Service was a little too quick though, we like to wine and dine somewhat longer.

One of my favourite restaurants in Hoorn. The ambience is lovely, dining in the old tower is a unique experience. The menu in the restaurant is really good and there is excellent service, also the 'bar' downstairs (now completely renewed) has great food and service as well if you want to have another atmosphere. Good place for every occassion: business,... More

The food was excellent--if the potato soup is the soup of the day give it a try. The building is old tower on the harbor, with a very nice fireplace each floor in winter. and the people were very helpful and friendly

This restaurant is a landmark of Vluchthaven area of Hoorn just as Belga Queen is of Graslei in Ghent. It is one of a kind. The food is just average. So you basically pay for the ambiance. Service was also superb. As for a window seat up the tower. It's probably also a good spot to propose. 😘

We asked a guy at the tourist information desk for a good restaurant for dinner, and this restaurant was recommended, and we are so happy that we (my husband and I, and a couple-friend) gave it a try. It was really a fantastic dinner with delicious dishes, good wine and good service in a old/historic building with a nice view... More

This 16th century fortified tower was completely renovated - in the 17th century. The setting is fantastic, right in the most atmospheric part of this old Dutch East India Company (= pirates to the rest of the World) port. Went for dinner with my wife on a Saturday night. Not our first time, and it was more in hope than... More
