You are literally surrounded by the beer as it brews. Very impressive interior, great selection! Would come again.

The Jopenkerk is a microbrewery with a larger brewery in the outskirts of Haarlem. There loads of types of nice beers. I like Koyt myself for example. The food standard has unfortunately slipped since the opening.

A must do! Haarlem's own beer brewery, "Jopen" with a brewery, bar and restaurant inside an old Cathedral. Great atmosphere and one of the best beers (over 20 on tap) you will have in the Netherlands

Just stop by for drinks every now and then. Great place to have a drink and a laugh! Seating isn't always available.

I reckon Jopenkerk has the best beer in Haarlem. A beer brewery in a church! !! And it is absolutely great to sit outside in the sun having a good time with a beer in hand. I absolutely recommended a visit when in Haarlem.

This is a great place to have a few beers. The bar looks great, the personnel is friendly and the music is good and not too loud. I once had dinner with some friends. The service was ok, but not everybody was really happy about the food.

Wow!! What a place!! I had never thought about having dinner in a church before. The Jopen is a nice place located in an old church, the beer is superb and the food was very good also. There is a great atmosphere and the decoration inside the church with the fermentations barrels is just amazing. A must if you are... More

Once we found this place, we thought it was great. We had lunch and a few beers from an extensive selection of beers. We went for the burgers, but as we do not have a great appetite we went for the small ones. I can tell you it was some plateful. We had a laugh when I paid the bill... More

We were intrigued by a brewery being in an old church, so we stopped in to try it on our first night in Haarlem. The interior has been very nicely decorated...love the stained glass! Hubby & 18 y/o shared a Tasting Flight of three beers and enjoyed them all. Goat cheese salad was great, and the vegetarian burger got great... More
