Location and contact

The best late-night cocktailbar and Miami streetfood restaurant in the Pijp area in Amsterdam. Calle Ocho: a warm, fun and buzzy ambience with some “gekkigheid”. A place where you can take your tinder-date, grandmother or your volleyball team. From Cuban to Mexican and from Caribbean to Tex-Mex. Calle Ocho is all of that in a nutshell. Our chefs translated this to a small menu which changes regularly.

We only went for a few drinks and weren't disappointed. Extremely tasty, very unique cocktails at reasonable prices. Bar staff were great, location is safe and off the main roads. Inside is really cosy and well lit. Try Fred the frozen margarita! Custom made and...More

We went to have dinner with my family. Honestly this place is more bar than a restaurant. The menu is very limited, the portions are small and the food prices are far to high for the offer. Drinks prices are reasonable. I won’t come back...More

Small Mexican restaurant in De Pijp. The food is thought to be shared, reasonably priced and with options also for vegetarians. I totally recommend the ceviche and the cactus quesadilla. Service is friendly and easy going. Recommended

I’m from California and have traveled extensively in Latin America. Also, a couple of my friends are excellent cooks-one of gourmet Mexican food, the other of excellent home made Cuban food. We spent a week in Amsterdam and my mother ( elderly and difficult to...More

Lovely place and I am not even talking about the food and cocktails yet! We had a few delicious cocktails and our portion of nachos were gone quickly. Music and staff were the cherry on the cake of our visit! Definitely worth going.

The cocktails are a-ma-zing, the food is just the opposite: overpriced and bad. A pitty, the description of the cuisine on the website was super appealing.

With Miami street food culture as its inspiration, the menu at Calle Ocho is one that should not be missed. As the daughter of a Cuban mother, I have been exposed to Cuban food my entire life. Calle Ocho adds an exciting twist to the...More

De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag
