Nice and elegant, mainly fish restaurant. Open till midnight. Always a nice daily special! Elegant and professional service. Wine menu is good, although maybe not very creative! Food and fish super fresh.

We needed a last minute place to have a business dinner and I am glad someone suggested this place. It is almost exclusively seafood, but does have three beef entrees. The wine selection wasn't huge but the quality was very nice. Every entree was enjoyed...More

Bark was recommended by our Airbnb host, and it proved to be so pleasant and with such good food that we ate here more than once during our brief stay. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the food was even better than we expected....More

Fantastic welcome and service. The Merlot by the glass is really good. Prices very reasonable and they don't mind if you order two starters or order a starter in mains size. Open kitchen which means you can see everything going on. Ambience is stylish and...More

We started with the oyster (French and Dutch). So fresh and delicious! But we prefer the Dutch one as less salty and more cream and more mild after taste. Then we order mussel with fries and grilled lobster. Mussel is something u cannot missed, so...More

Referred by our hotel, this was a very nice brasserie with excellent food. Our service began as excellent, but as things got crowded and busy, it suffered a bit. Would still recommend it. Very convenient location also.

I have been invited to dine at this restaurant next week, but I actually don't want to eat fish. Can you remember if there were any alternatives?

There is a wide variety of dishes, other meats are available, and very tasty. Fish is only one option. You'll be fine.

Description
Inspired by the characteristic brasseries in Brussels and Paris, Brasserie Bark is a lively seafood restaurant in Amsterdam's museum quarter. On the menu you'll find an assortment of fish and seafood dishes, from oysters to lobster, salmon to sole and even swordfish. The house speciality is the 'fruits de mer', an impressive selection of shellfish served over ice. The restaurant takes particular pride in only using fresh produce, which means that the menu changes 5-6 times a year, according to the season. Rather unusually for a restaurant in Amsterdam, Brasserie Bark stays open until midnight, so whether you are going for an informal dinner or business meeting, time need not be an issue.
