The restaurant isn't much to look at and isn't the most salubrious inside but the service was attentive and the food tasty. We took our recommendation from the DK Top 10 and in reality were somewhat surprised at the recommendation as it's difficult to imagine this as holding such a rating. That said the experience we had was a good... More

My wife and I wanted a special meal for our wedding anniversary and chose Tujuh Maret. The food was very good, fresh and well presented. The waiter was very pleasant and engaging. Normally I do not go for Rijs Tafel but this one was very good. The blend of meats and flavors was first rate and I would recommend it.... More

To be short, the service was very nice and (very) slow, and the price was very high. Somehow it really looks like any tourist restaurant in Bali. That is why we do prefer going in local warung makan where you quickly get tasty food for a cheap price. But there is no such warung makan in Amsterdam... so the price... More

I am puzzled as to why this was even included in a DK Top 10 Guide to Amsterdam. Historically, I expected good Indonesian food in Amsterdam, since Indonesia was a former Dutch colony. This restaurant was easy enough to find. When the server asked for our drink request, and we found Amstel Malt on the menu, she said it had... More

I can clearly not recommend going to have food at this restaurant. The service was just not worth the prices of around 20 € for a normal main course. Beer was out, just cans available. The appetizer was cold, in my main meal I had pieces of plastic, I gave it back. The lady had "to check" what this could... More

Our first night in Amsterdam had to be Indonesian. We walked from our Museumplein lodging along the charming Kerkstraat to Tujuh Maret. We had been travelling all day and needed a reward. So we chose a place that some critics and reviews lauded. The welcome was really warm - the place was packed (a German tour group) and plenty of... More

Thing only thing worse than the food in this restaurant is the service. I've never met such rude staff in my life. The food is not fresh and full of MSG. Avoid Avoid Avoid. Go next door to Tempo Doeloe or eat somewhere else on Utrechtsestraat.

We were craving Indonesian food and this place looked nice. We ordered the 2x chicken broths, and a single portion of the prawn cakes, and chicken satay skewers. We were brought double portions of all, which we just accepted. The broth was like warm, and the prawn cakes were bland but we just finished them. Then moved on to the... More

We had dinner with rijstafel, decent quality, not amazing but ok. Prices in accordance. Not to come back but ok for once.

With its neighbor restaurant Tempo Doeloe being fully booked, we entered this restaurant and were struck by the cosy and relaxed atmosphere. The food was just excellent! Prices most reasonable and a great table with street view! Many thanks and we will be back!
