The atmosphere of the restaurant was good with authentic Spanish tiles. The tapas were fine but not unusual compared with tapas bars in Spain. Quiet part of the Jordaan so not as touristy as some other places.

After Centra went down the drain this is the right alternative. In fact some of the people here used to work in Centra, among them the cook. The tapas are quite fine, and so are the traditional dishes like zarzuela. You have to order it...More

One of my favorite restaurants in Amsterdam! So lucky to live so close to this place. They offer such seemingly simple dishes but the taste and flavor are just amazing! Love the calamares and the seafod paella! Highly recommended!

I wasn't too hungry, but I had a seat at the bar anyway, selected a tapa of eggplant with anchovy, a tapa of anchovies in oil, one piece of tortilla with spinach and finished with a portion of meatballs in tomatosauce. The tortilla was a...More

We went there a Saturday night with my girlfriend and everything was perfect: very good service, friendly staff and good food. We had 2 meats (lamp chops and rib eye), one mix of tapas and a few glasses of Sangria for less than 40e.

The consierge at our hotel recommended Duende, and enjoyed finding it on our first night in Amsterdam. The food was fabulous, the service was fun-filled. The restaurant looked after one gluten-free person on our table beautifully. Highly recommended!

Our Airbnb accommodation was literally 100 steps round the corner so we 'stumbled' on this wonderful dining experience by chance - we were warmly greeted into a pleasant convivial 'local' atmosphere at 9.15pm even though we did not have a booking - the red house...More

One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and
some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two
of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll
through this especially convivial warren of narrow
streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and
quality galleries. Historically a haven for the
working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is
better known as an enclave for artists and designers.
