Definitely the best pancakes!!! Great service and such a beautiful and unique place. I managed to find this place on my way to the Heineken Experience, it’s literally right outside of it! It’s a shame it’s not advertised more, would never have found it if...it wasn’t for going to the Heineken Experience!!! Will definitely be back! :)More

Found this gem by accident right after finishing the Heineken Experience. Heard that Dutch pancakes (Pofferties) are a must have when visiting Amsterdam so gave it a try. Was amazed at how good these tiny little pancakes were. An order comes with 20 Dutch pancakes...and then choices of sides such as strawberries, bananas, nutella etc. Service was good and atmosphere was excellent.More

The carousel is a cute restaurant outside the city center of Amsterdam. The inside looks like a carousel, what gives it a nice touch and is fun for kids. We came there to eat poffertjes and we were not disappointed. They were really great, exactly...how we expected them to be and the dish size is more than enough. Only the prices were a little high. For a snack I'd rate it as too expensive. But if you're looking for a nice place to eat poffertjes or Pfannekuchen, you're not wrong here cause you get exactly what you came for - that's satisfyingMore

Really lovely pancake restaurant - not cheap, you pay for location and quality! Staff are really friendly. Recommend the poffertjie.

Love it because: despite being an old cloister that if it weren't for the reviews on Tripadvisor we would never have gone, despite leaving you smelly clothes ... I've never eaten pancakes and waffles so good, delicious and unforgettable

We went to De Carrousel for our fist breakfast in Amsterdam,as we passed in front od it the night before going for dinner and were very intrigued by it. We were welcomed and we took a sit, the waiter took and the order and we...waited for about 10 minutes. I must say we were absolutely drooling when we received our plates. We both had the poffertjes which are typical from the Netherlands. It's small pancakes and you get to choose the topping you like best. I had Nutella, whipped cream and fresh strawberries and my husband had whipped cream and kiwi. The plates were enormous. The dough was so sweet and tasty and dipped in nutea was just perfect. We didn't have any food until 10 pm, as it filled us the whole day. Great breakfast, we are definitely going back.More

Beautiful place and definitely best pancakes we’ve ever had! When you’ll visit this restaurant you must to try bacon-cheese-pinaple pancake with sweet topping!

Hi Christine. We remember the Carousel being wheelchair friendly once inside, but we do not remember if there are steps from the street. You may want to contact the pancake house directly. Good luck!
