We have visited the restaurant with 2 choirs before our joint concert. It took a while to get it organised and the restaurant wasn't very accommodating. However on the night itself, the food was very good and the staff very friendly. Both choirs look back on an great event.

The atmosphere is very different - a middle eastern feel, beautiful lighting. Very fun and casual. The food was very different for me because I haven't eaten much middle eastern food. I enjoyed it, but the highlight for me was the location. The staff were friendly and there was a real youthful casual vibe.

We ate dinner here, and had a wonderful evening. Really enjoyed the food, and love the building- it's a converted synagogue. Lovely atmosphere, excellent service.

This restaurant has a middle-eastern look and feel. Staff is trained to be friendly and fast to turn tables as much as possible. Food isn't special but is good and reasonably cheap. Must make reservations to be sure to have a table even though the place is 2 stories. Interior is nice.

Very cool place with arabic decoration! Amazing lighting. This middle-eastern and mediterranean fusion food is very good. The plater of appetizers to share is recommendable. Good option for large groups as well as for couples. Worth a visit!

Came here on a recommendation from a friend and wasnt disappointed, staff were lovely and the portions were huge. The food was tasty, I got a chicken kebab with salad, chips and rice and my mum got the persian lamb with rice, that was really tasty! The restaurant is a converted synagogue and has a different feel to it.

The restaurant is in a nondescript building , almost looks like an entrance to a church with very quiet neighbourhood. Once you get into the restaurant, it has a great atmosphere with authentic Moroccan decor, amazing use of vibrant colours on the wall. We were there on a Sunday afternoon lunch at the restaurant and it wasn't very busy. We... More

An absolute surprise gem hidden behind an unassuming front facade. Having visited Morocco 18 months ago we were instantly transported back on stepping in to this restaurant. A buzzing bustling atmosphere, stunning authentic decor, amazing use of light and colour and the freshest tastiest of food. Moroccan peppermint tea as good as that we drank in Marrakech that I just... More

Had a great Friday night dinner here. Fun restaurant in an old church, funky decor with a lively vibe, would recommend more for groups than date nights. Food was very tasty with huge portions and reasonable priced, dinner for seven of us with several wines and beers for €160. Friendly efficient staff, would recommend making a reservation at busier times.

Staying in De Pijp

Neighborhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
