There are several of these restaurants in Amsterdam, including this one and one near the train station on Damrak. The falafels are both reasonable, and extremely tasty. They serve you a big fresh falafel-filled pita, and you add as many toppings (and there are MANY!) as you want. There are also 5 different sauces to choose from. This also makes... More

Just a few words: easy, reasonable price, relatively healthy snack, fresh, surprisingly good fallafels and unlimited sauce. Moreover, if you want to add some more toppings afterwards you are free to serve yourself! Highly recommend if you want to eat outside without going to a restaurant.

The falafel is quite tasty and the variety of add-ons are very good. Tried the orange juice here which is made fresh in front of your eyes. The salad bar is unlimited and I found it very useful to try a lot of new options in small quantities. The price was very reasonable for such a pick of food. Great... More

Walked past this place and saw people eating the most delicious looking pitta breads filled with falafel and salad. Went back later that evening to try one and so glad we did.....so fresh and delicious. I've eaten many falafels amd most of the time they are so dry or rock hard or not tasty enough but these I have to... More

Worst falafel I ever had. The balls are dry and the aftertaste is terrible. If you're looking for a good falafel, I highly recommend looking for somewhere else.

Came here late evening Tuesday 11th July, as I finished work at 10.30pm and on way back to hotels. Most of china town had closed by then however I thought I'd give Maoz a try. The pitta was toasted on demand and the falafels were freshly fried. I liked the selection of salads that you add yourself and you can... More

Totally overrated place. Not a restaurant. A vegatarian fast food store. Worse than Burger King or Mcdonalds. The food not seem to be healthy. The ingredients you add to the falafel are not good or tasty. And the one seeing the fries at the back cannot eat it! You should see! Please go find different places to eat. Besides this... More

We saw this food joint, when we were walking on the streets looking for a decent vegetarian suitable restaurant in Amsterdam. It was fully packed with people. We decided to give it a try. The menu options are limited but the pita filling and sauce and free salad options are huge. And you can get as many top up as... More

This has gotta be the best falafel joint ever! We have been to one of these in Spain and they are amazing! About 5 euros gets you a mahoosive pitta bread filled with falafel and basic salad. You can add extra bits like feta cheese for a little extra but don't bother and just stock up on the free salad... More

I was looking for good Mediterranean food in Amsterdam and especially near Dam Square and I stumbled upon this place and to my utter surprise the food is lipsmacking. The falafel is awesome and make it your facility. Also do try the salad which also is equally a "DO TRY".

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
