We didn't book and we went on a Saturday at 7.30pm, peak time, but in 10/15 minutes of queuing you get seated at the table. The place is small with 20/25 seats but very welcoming. The pizza is a little expensive but considering the Italian products used and the goodness it is absolutely worth trying.

We discovered this place by chance on the internet, a little difficult to find because it's really small but it's worth it. The pizza is really good and made like in Italy. The staff is friendly and the waiter is Italian. The only flaw is the price, the average pizza costs around 16 euros but when we had a chat with the waiter he explained to us that 90% of the raw materials come from Italy so they cost more. Highly recommended

We stumbled across this little gem while looking for dinner after the F1 of a Sunday evening. Their is literally a sign saying 'Pizza' outside with a few seats and it's TINY. But it's amazing I haven't tasted pizza like it! So the place is tiny and you could be sharing a table with anyone but that's what makes it so amazing. Even though the place looked busy we just asked for a table for 2 and we were shown to a table where there were 2 stylish Dutch ladies beside us. The menu is Pizza as well as some salads. I decided on the Prosciutto which was tomato mozzarella and Italian ham. Himself had the N'daja which was tomato mozzarella spicy sausage and smoked buffalo cheese. I think they do wine but we both had water.
The wait wasn't long and pizzas arrived and I have to say Loved Loved Loved it! It's off the beaten track it's small but it's amazing and worth it! Bill came to just over €40 really reasonable!

We were a bit disappointed. A very small restaurant where you queue to get in. Inside it's small. There were five of us. That doesn't really fit at the table. You then sit in the aisle on a cold steel chair from the outside. There's really no room for a bag. With a smaller group it is nice and cozy. The bottom of one of the pizzas was burned. The other pizzas were good. As soon as your pizza is finished, the voucher will be on the table before you have been asked for any dessert. This dessert was tiramisu in a cardboard cup with a wooden spoon.
ATMs above 100 euros can only be used in stages.
All in all, a great pizzeria if you are hungry and want to eat quickly, but not to dine just as nicely.

Small place with many seats but fast service. Even if there is queue in 10 minutes they make you sit and make you a real Italian pizza. A few salads as an appetizer and a dessert, usually tiramisu. Average count (for Amsterdam).

Very small pizzeria in the center. Very good pizza, thin thin. Wood oven. Average prices in Amsterdam, the margherita €14.90, the more seasoned ones reach €19.90. Super recommended

This hidden gem in a side alley near ansterdam main train station is a must visit. Best wood fired pizza we have ever had at a very reasonable price. Hosts are ever so fruendly and were even from Italy. They offered us some samples of tiramisu and limocello as an added bonus. Very small inside with no frills. We onky found it by accident after googling wood fired pizza in amsterdam. Was only 5 mins from the main train station just if tge main street to tge teain station just psdt Dam Square. Would higjly recommend and if we travel the amsterdam again would definately go back. Only found it on our last day begore flying back to Australia.

To be perfectly honest the Nduja pizza we had was superb, true Neopolitan style, thin base & nice crust , toppings were delicious with the sweetest tomatoes... yum yum.
I mark down on the service as our waiter was quite unpleasant towards my wife ( whilst I wasn't as the table)but had nothing to say on my return .... it costs nothing to be courteous.
That aside ,great food and nice atmosphere.
You can't book a table and it is a busy spot so good luck & enjoy.

The best authentic pizza in Amstedam. They're not shy with their mozzarella, and the ingredients are top tier, but any good pizza lives and dies by its dough, and their dough is napoleon style , crispy and buttery.
At night, it might look a bit sketchy location, but do not let that deter you. I went with the family, and we're glad we did.
To top it off, they were playing soul funk jazz. Soul music and top-tier pizza are halfway to heaven.

I went after seeing the very good reviews it had and I must say they were absolutely confirmed. The restaurant is very small and you cannot book so I recommend going early, but even queuing for a while is worth it. The pizza was fantastic (coming from an Italian) and fresh, you could feel that the products and the chef were Italian. Absolutely recommended.

We visited in the evening, you can't book so need to take your chances as it is a small venue that serves only pizza. That said they were fine pizza's which made it well worth the visit. it was busty and deservedly so. Don't be deceived by the outside look of the place.

Oh my.. this pizza was so SO good. I literally inhaled it! Everyone in my family ate everything and found it delicious. This is definitely in my top 3 (maybe even top 2) of pizzas i’ve eaten and trust me, i’ve eaten A LOT of pizzas. 🍕 The thin bottom and fluffy crust with the sauce and the perfect amount of cheese is perfect. The staff was really nice too!
Just one small thing: the music was a little bit loud I sometimes couldn’t really hear what my family were saying but maybe that’s just me, a lot of people like loud music, definitely not a big deal tho I would definitely recommend! 🧀

Quite a nice pizza, good tasting dough but a lot of edge before you get to any filling. The bottom was charred but somehow the centre was cold and the tomato sauce tasted rather like canned tomatoes. The only option for dessert was tiramisu, which we didn’t want, so they lost out. Very pleasant service and good beer. Tiny place and not really space between tables to sit comfortably, and the chairs are metal which don’t encourage you to stay. A free tot of limoncello tasted like something medicinal.

Typical small place in Amsterdam, to optimize the space the tables were very close to each other, so don't come expecting an intimate place. Nice place, typical Italian decorations scattered everywhere, the pizza was very good, unfortunately the only negative point was that the raw ham was acidic and very hard and did not match the pizza a bit, but without the bulk it was still very good! Super seasoned and average prices.

La Zoccola is a gem for anyone seeking authentic Italian pizza in Amsterdam. This cozy restaurant exudes a genuine Italian atmosphere, evident not only in the delicious food but also in the clientele. Seeing fellow Italians enjoying a meal here was a testament to the restaurant's authenticity.
Ambiance & Authenticity: The intimate size of La Zoccola creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant might be small, but the experience is larger than life. Watching the pizzas being expertly crafted in front of you adds to the charm, as does the impressive furnace reaching a scorching 450 degrees Celsius.
Pizza Perfection: The star of the show here is undoubtedly the pizza. Made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, the pizzas are a true taste of Italy. Each bite explodes with flavor, and the crust cooked in the fiery furnace is simply divine. We tried the hot salame and the capricciosa pizzas.
Sweet Bliss: We couldn't resist indulging in the homemade tiramisu, and it was pure perfection! This decadent dessert was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal.
A Must-Try: La Zoccola is a must-visit for any pizza lover in Amsterdam. The combination of authentic Italian flavors, a charming atmosphere, and friendly service makes this restaurant a true gem. Just be prepared for a potentially cozy setting – the deliciousness is definitely worth it!
