Biggest oysters I've ever had. They were delicious as well. The only thing we ate were the oysters so i have no review on the rest of the food. Owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. My husband and I will definitely be returning to try more options.

We received a very warm welcome, excellent choices of food, we went for the set meal of spring rolls, chicken & pappaya salad, a spicy soup, fried fish, garlic vegetables and spicy prawns served with rice. Great value at €45 for 2 people...Drinks were reasonable too at €5 for a pint of beer. Would definately return.

We visited this restaurant because of the name, "Welcome Seafood" i mean which restaurant greets his fellow Seafood like that? At first we had to swallow because the restaurant seemed creepy, but then we had fun on those squeaky chairs and ordered alot of food. Which was the right descision, food was on point alltough the veggies where probably deep... More

Myself and hubby came here. THe staff were a bit luke warm first. We ordered lots of food too much to mention. The fish was amazing. Eventually we had a good laugh with the staff. Alot of it is cultural so you have to understand the culture as most of the time it is not done in an offensive way.... More

I was curious about vietnamese food and Welcome was recommended. The staff is very friendly although the atmosphere it's not that charming. I recommend to try the vietnamese tasting menu and try different specialties.

We waited for about 30 min until someone gave us a menu, another 15 min until I asked THEM for a drink. Whole meal was like this. They seemed hateful to be honest. Food was respectable, but I would definitely try another place and not come back here. I had the shrimp curry and chili and it was pretty good!... More

We were looking for a Vietnaemese restaurant near our hotel and came across this place on the Zeedijk street. The food was basically good if not average (considered street food in Vietnam). The Iced tea was refreshing. We had fried rolls as a starter, but than we were surprised to have them again as a side dish in both our... More

Nothing to rave about here: Ambiance is ok, just as the quality of the food. Given the number of excellent Asian restaurants in Amsterdam, I'd say: go elsewhere.

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighborhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
