Already more then 16 years Marius is a concept as a small table d' hote with a daily changing menu of 4 courses. We adhere the refined country kitchen: simply real food made from natural ingredients, maybe French, maybe Mediterranean, but surely our expression of what we like and oh dear... How much we love veggies. Since we moved to our new location March 2012, we are slightly more of a restaurant and therefor a bit more spacious and comfortable. But at the same time it is still cosy and sometimes crowded with conviviality and we still partly have our family styled shared tables. At Marius we always serve what we find on the market. Our 4 course menu changes daily en costs 47,50 euro. Next to with the menu we always have a few specialities like Bouillabaise and Vitello Tonato. Alongside the menu we serve, if you like, a appropriate wine suggestion. But gladly we invite you to study our extensive wine card and find you your favorite bottle. When the weather allows we have a little Parisien like, sidewalk terrace.

This small, exceptional restaurant was definitely the best we’ve been to in our many travels. Our Airbnb host made reservations for us, and we were glad to follow his advice. If you have a party of two, the table we had was across from the...More
Friends recommended this restaurant where we had a lovely dinner. The chef and staff of this charming neighborhood restaurant were very involved in making sure we had an excellent experience. As a number of the wines on their list were new to us, our server...More
Very friendly team who were happy to help non-Dutch speakers with the daily menu. Fresh produce presented with flair, and great service. Excellent wine recommendations too, and reasonable prices. Highly recommended if you are in this area.
This is a small restaurant in a bit of periferic location. However the atmosphere is very comfy and the food is very high quality. They frequently change the menu based on seasonal/market availability. The selection is a bit limited. The staff was friendly. Prices are...More
The 4 course dinner is priced in line with the market trends I guess, but the portions are large and I found the food very good as well as the service excellent. The setting is tasteful and cosy, as well as not cramped. For warmer...More
We recently had dinner here and tried three out of the four entrees on the menu - fish soup, venison and sweetbreads. All were very tasty! First time for me to try sweetbreads, though I am still not quite sure which part of cow it...More
Been there 15 years ago. Very good.
And even after 15 years: still very good! Original and very tasty menu. Fish. Venison. Very agreeable setting as well. It is a table d hote. Feels like having dinner in someone else s house. Will be there...More
This is my third evaluation of Marius where things are unchanged; that's the way you like good places to be: the same excellent food, the quirky but attentive service, a full restaurant on a Fri evening. Most restaurants are deserted at 10:30-11:00. At Marius the...More
This restaurant is small and intimate with a kitchen so small I wondered how they could function superbly but they did. The fallow venison loin steak and diced haunch were sublime. The lady waiting at table was a master of her craft.

Group of friends flew into Amsterdam from London, Geneva & Hong Kong. You need to book a table. It’s a small restaurant with regular changes to menu. Great staff- helpful advice - accommodated some allergies. We tried the cod, the duck, the beef and the...More
