Stumbled upon this cute little restaurant while searching for a spot for pancakes! The restaurant is cozy and reminds me of eateries in NYC's east village. The bento box was very good and reasonably priced. The green tea is authentic and delicious.

The sushi menu is limited but nicely prepared and tasty. The set menus are quite expensive so we did not try them. There were plenty of ala carte choices, and quite a few sakes.

The sushi at Kagetsu is really superb. Top quality fish, the all important rice, and beautiful to look at. It's a pity that the restaurant itself lack charm and atmosphere, but if you know your sushi and are looking for the real McCoy, look no further. Price was very competitive too.

Freshly made Japanese food. Fresh sashimi and great service at a really reasonable price. Have really enjoyed our meal and will certainly visit again the next time we're back in Amsterdam.

Local neighbourhood Japanese - no frills - good food - delicious, very reasonably priced. If staying at Hotel 1X this is just across the street.

I really enjoyed my sushi at Kagetsu, the fish was nice and fresh! I had a beef main and that was also very tasty. I recommend the black sesame ice cream to finish with. The restaurant was clean and staff were friendly. If you're in Amsterdam and fancy a non pretentious but decent Japanese restaurant I would say definitely try... More

The restaurant provides Asian/Japanese food. The quality and service is ok. Nothing to complain, but nothing to highlight.

I have been going for years and have never been dissatisfied with the food or service even my 5 year old nephew loved it and keeps asking to go back. I hope it never changes. Esp love... More

Great food! I went here for dinner and tried the tuna sashimi-fresh and lovely, the beef yakiniku-delish and kaki fry-fried oysters - good-could be better. The food overall was good. Thumbs up! The ambience is lovely and cozy. they have three levels - semi-basement, ground floor and first floor - we sat on the first floor. Its not super fancy... More
