Being Michelin obsessives we found this bib gourmand restaurant on the Michelin site. Staying in the Jordaan we were a short walk away. Good times. Long dark narrow restaurant, we opted for a bar seat on the long tables in front of the display cases with all the produce in them. Nice wine selection at a good price. We didn't... More

Envy is a nice restaurant located right in Amsterdam center on a canal. The food is good and inventive, maybe the room is a bit dark but atmosphere is cool !

We enjoyed a nice evening with some good food. Restaurant envy is nearby the canal, where you can access it easily. However, the portion of the dishes is quite small, 6 main dishes and 1 starter are not enough for three girls. (Hahaha)

Second time to Envy ( I live in NZ) and both times a wonderful experience. This restaurant is cool, busy and the food sharing, European fusion style food. I feel the food is reasonably priced for the quality and style. I have eaten at many similar restaurants and rank Envy amongst the better experiences. My wife and teenage son both... More

This was a Andaz Hotel recommendation and it delivered on all fronts. Set in the 9 streets area of Amsterdam this is a great find and has a somewhat New York feel about the place. There is an edgy vibe to the place with the tables lit cleverly to create a 'closed' space for each table. The leather dress clad... More

Good ambience Nice modern and minimal decor Open kitchen, 3 chefs, two waiters. Good food, totally Mediterranean with a fusion of Dutch products in it, very nice. Good presentation of dishes and efficient staff. Great selection of wines, try the German white wine to begin and for the finishing line (with the cheeses) try the South African red wine. Service... We chose a four course tasting menu, with cold and hot dishes followed by cheese. The quality and presentation of the food was fantastic and the service attentive and professional as well as informal and friendly.

Fantastic meal! We ordered all of the seafood small plates. Highly recommend the brill, mackerel, and octopus/baby squid. Lot of Japanese influences in their cuisine. Great staff. Try to sit outside if weather is nice.

Found this restaurant on a listing of the Telegraph about where to eat in Amsterdam, and what a great surprise! We were looking for a restaurant that would be open on a Sunday night for a late-isa booking. We got a table booked for 9pm, perfect! Food was really good and service super friendly. The interior is dark and cosy.... More

Description
Fifteen restaurant in Amsterdam is an exciting offshoot of Jamie Oliver’s famous Fifteen London, a great example of one set of dynamic, generous people inspiring others to act. In this case, the ‘others’ are Sarriel Taus and Coen Alewijnse who have created this combination restaurant and chef’s school in partnership with Fifteen London to benefit the struggling young people of Amsterdam. So what’s it like at the dining end of the equation? Very cool. The arty cosmopolitan style includes vibrant graffiti-scrawled sheet metal walls contrasting nice with the smart, sleek modern lines, designer seating and white table cloths. The restaurant seats up to 200, yet can still feel right for an dinner a deux. Each night a tasting menu is on offer, inspired by Jamie Oliver incorporating only the freshest regional produce. The modern Italian menu changes weekly and includes one of Jamie’s favourite antipasti to start, a first dish of fresh pasta, gnocchi or risotto, second course of meat, fish, poultry or game, and, we’re quoting here, ‘a wicked dessert’. A wine tasting menu is available to match the food tasting menu, or choose your own from the excellent list.
