Was there with quite high ecpectations and can gladly say that all were being fullfilled. Great ambiente, nice wines, outstanding combinations of componants to create a memorable experience and really friendly and helpful service. All in all-a nice experience. Thank you!

We had a dinner for 2 at envy. The place looks great and the flavours are amazing. But dishes are seriously small, they recommended us to have 3-4 dishes each but even tough it was too little food. I guess it might be better to go for the tasting menu.

We were a group 11 and had the deluxe tasting menu. The food was very good. Service was also very on the contrary to some of the reviews here so I was not expecting good service. The only disappointment was the coffee we ordered with the great desert. I was not a proper coffee but probably a Nespresso or something... More

It is simple: we just had an absolutely wonderful evening with great and exciting food, excellent wines, superb service and a great atmosphere. What a relief that something like this exists in a city where there are so very many mediocre restaurants! We are coming back SOON!

Somewhere I'd always wanted to visit after many trips to Amsterdam, but sadly didn't live up to my own internal hype. Average food, somewhat dour service, all a bit pretentious but without the quality to pull it off. For a decnet night out, go to Blauw an de Wal to eat then a bar or club, don't try and combine... The food is really good, all be it small plates (tasting menu). The service is/was horrible !!! I know in the US waiters work for tips, so maybe that makes a difference in the lack of service in Amsterdam. However common politeness and service should be expected, even with service included. With the kind of restaurant Envy claims to be,... More

The only thinks I was Envy of was the food on the table next to ours. The food is amazing. The service is absolutely horrid. We had our first course and waited 90 minutes for the next course. The server would not even make eye contact with us. Avoiding us as much as she can until she realized the kitchen... More

Envy's menu has a wonderful variety of shareable small plates from starters through sweets. Because the weather was warm we ate at one of the few outdoor tables. The ambiance was lovely with the canal just footsteps away and the sun setting over the beautiful buildings. We could look in the restaurant window and see the cooks busy at work.... More

Fifteen restaurant in Amsterdam is an exciting offshoot of Jamie Oliver’s famous Fifteen London, a great example of one set of dynamic, generous people inspiring others to act. In this case, the ‘others’ are Sarriel Taus and Coen Alewijnse who have created this combination restaurant and chef’s school in partnership with Fifteen London to benefit the struggling young people of Amsterdam. So what’s it like at the dining end of the equation? Very cool. The arty cosmopolitan style includes vibrant graffiti-scrawled sheet metal walls contrasting nice with the smart, sleek modern lines, designer seating and white table cloths. The restaurant seats up to 200, yet can still feel right for an dinner a deux. Each night a tasting menu is on offer, inspired by Jamie Oliver incorporating only the freshest regional produce. The modern Italian menu changes weekly and includes one of Jamie’s favourite antipasti to start, a first dish of fresh pasta, gnocchi or risotto, second course of meat, fish, poultry or game, and, we’re quoting here, ‘a wicked dessert’. A wine tasting menu is available to match the food tasting menu, or choose your own from the excellent list.
