The only thinks I was Envy of was the food on the table next to ours. The food is amazing. The service is absolutely horrid. We had our first course and waited 90 minutes for the next course. The server would not even make eye contact with us. Avoiding us as much as she can until she realized the kitchen... More

Envy's menu has a wonderful variety of shareable small plates from starters through sweets. Because the weather was warm we ate at one of the few outdoor tables. The ambiance was lovely with the canal just footsteps away and the sun setting over the beautiful buildings. We could look in the restaurant window and see the cooks busy at work.... More

This is one of my favorite restaurants in holland! The menu is a surprise and you are just taken on a journey of flavor! The wines are amazing and the staff is wonderfull. The only thing that I don't like is that the tables are set very close together so it's not very private but still it's quite romantic. If... More

Since the moment I arrived they were all confused. They didn't seem to know which one of the 10 available tables was for me or who would my waitress be, I ordered a fancy gin&tonic and they mixed up the orders twice, they really wanted to help, they were very friendly but it really seemed like opening night for them.... We ate a simple lunch at Envy on Sunday. It's only open for lunch at the weekend. We had a plate of jamon and salami flavoured with truffle. We sat outside in the sunshine and enjoyed our food and wine.

Envy is located in front of a canal which gives you a nice view of the city. The ambiance is excellent and the assortment of cold cuts are amazing. They have a large selection of G&Ts on the drink menu. The five course meal is about Euro 50.

We had dinner here at the recommendation of the manager at VYNE wine bar just a few doors up the street. It's a tapas-type place with small dishes. The scallops were wonderful. Peach Melba with raspberry sorbet very nice. The foie gras was a bit singed on one side. Maybe some people like it that way but we don't. Service... More

We were here four years ago and loved it. It's not cheap, portions aren't large, but there were some truly great flavor running around the plate. Very modern, but friendly interior. Service was friendly and prompt. I recommend it again.

Description
Fifteen restaurant in Amsterdam is an exciting offshoot of Jamie Oliver’s famous Fifteen London, a great example of one set of dynamic, generous people inspiring others to act. In this case, the ‘others’ are Sarriel Taus and Coen Alewijnse who have created this combination restaurant and chef’s school in partnership with Fifteen London to benefit the struggling young people of Amsterdam. So what’s it like at the dining end of the equation? Very cool. The arty cosmopolitan style includes vibrant graffiti-scrawled sheet metal walls contrasting nice with the smart, sleek modern lines, designer seating and white table cloths. The restaurant seats up to 200, yet can still feel right for an dinner a deux. Each night a tasting menu is on offer, inspired by Jamie Oliver incorporating only the freshest regional produce. The modern Italian menu changes weekly and includes one of Jamie’s favourite antipasti to start, a first dish of fresh pasta, gnocchi or risotto, second course of meat, fish, poultry or game, and, we’re quoting here, ‘a wicked dessert’. A wine tasting menu is available to match the food tasting menu, or choose your own from the excellent list.
