Not much to do in the Dam Plaza, but this is the center of Amsterdam, so it is a good meeting area and a starting point for all visits in the city.

We were tired and need something to eat and a sit down. We were next to Dam Square so expected to pay a higher price than in an outlying area. We both had the onion soup which came with bread. It was OK, a bit watery and salty for our taste so just OK. My husband had a small bear... More

Since being a member of the TripAdvisor family all my reveiws have come from my heart. This reveiw is from that same heart. Walking past this establishment we noticed the large outside menu offering a large selection of meals at average city prices. We had just arrived in Amsterdam and we wanted to eat a meal. We ventured inside to... More

We arrived at this restaurant and were warmly greeted by a waiter and seated. After 5 minutes or so the waitress came to take our order. She didn't write anything down, and subsequently missed sauce off our order (only to be expected if you don't write stuff down). However, I ordered the Sirloin.......IT WAS THE NICEST STEAK I HAVE EVER... More

Terrible service from this restaurant. Had to ask 3 times for one glass of water to accompany our 2 courses and wine for the table.

One eats well here at a reasonable price. The tagliatelle alla puttanesca and the spaghetti carbonara were both excellent. The view is excellent. The service was quite good.

Service was good but really disappointed with the quality of the food. Nice chips but fish was breaded and cheap, not very good quality at all. Expected more considering the prices. Won't be going back.

We stopped here for dinner because the place and the menu looked okay. After we had received our dinner, a steak and lasagna, the waited walked by and placed a bowl of french fries on the table. I frankly thought that they must have been included with my steak. As noted in other reviews here, the food was at best... More
