39,95 for 10 mezes for Two. After you are still hungry. I think normal price is 20 euro. Very small portions, disappointing!

We had dinner in this nice turkish restaurant. We tried the combi apitezer and the typical lamb with cheese. Great !! The lady and the waiters are very kind. To try.

First of all, service is very friendly and helpful : we wanted to eat outside but there was no room left, so they took a little table out especially for us. Then we chose the mezze assortment and this was the best idea ever.... 10 different mezze in small portions, but totally enough for 2 people - less than 40€... More

I popped in for dinner and really enjoyed the food. It was frequented by locals regularly as many customers knew the owner. The service and food was delightful

Quality of food at this place very very average - worst of all was that the portions we're very small and its very expensive. A small salad barely covering a side plate was 8 euros. Very poor value and very average food.

It is not the best and it is far from the worst Turkish restaurant we have visited. The place is pleasant. The staff were helpful. The food was good as was the beer. A good choice for a Turkish meal. We decided just to east from the Meze menu and it was wise as the main courses looked quite large

Divan is a great restaurant as it offers great food (original Turkish cuisine) and warm service. It gives us the feeling of home. It is owned by a family and family members are working themselves which creates this feeling. It has reasonable prices especially in comparison with the quality offered. The food is real traditional food including all the details... More

I'm a lover of Turkish and middle eastern food so when I saw the great reviews for Divan, I figured we'd try it. And so happy I did. Really excellent food....and we ordered a lot of different things! The stuffed grape leaves and the hummus with pastrami were the best I've ever had, but everything we had was absolutely delish.... More

We had a wonderful meal at this unassuming Turkish restaurant. The food is outstanding, the service is friendly and prompt, really it could not be better. We do not eat meat. We had the spinach and chickpeas, eggplant and tomatoes, and stuffed mushrooms. Everything was delicious. I think the stuffed mushrooms were the best I have every had.

In a week as "foreigners" in Amsterdam, we had an unparalleled experience at Divan. Wonderful family-run "hometown" evening trading stories and even recipes with the "mom". We will dream about the lamb dish with tomato, eggplant and yogurt. Highly recommend this warm and wonderful find!

Thank Edwin H

Staying in Jordaan

Neighborhood Profile
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
