Friendly staff, tables upstairs away from street noise, fresh tasting food, good size portions. Closed on Mondays. Tables and glasses could be cleaner. The really bright desk/table lights show all flaws. Paper napkins are rough to touch.

Stopped in for a simple breakfast. Everything was excellent. Organic muesli with farm fresh yogurt and great coffee. This place is located in the very busy section of town not far from the train station. There is an upstairs dining room in the back which takes you away from the street noise. Service was excellent and the total meal was... More

Lovely cafe with a lovely selection of breads and the coffee is good. Staff very friendly and it has a nice breakfast selection of fresh breads with ham and cheese or butter and jam

Definitely the best place to eat we visited in Amsterdam. Went there on my sister's recommendation and they lived up to it in full. We only had savoury dishes (unfortunately!). Breads, cheese and greens were supreme, top notch ingredients used. And the eventual price was considerably less than what we had to pay in inferior eating places.

We were staying close by, and quite often do not opt for the very large buffet breakfasts offered by the hotels. We normally do not eat that way at home, and really enjoy getting out of the hotels and finding local spots. Well this is the place for us. Excellent selection of breads baked on location, fresh squeezed OJ, and... More

Stopped here for tea and cake in the afternoon, the cake was very good, service was friendly and efficient. You could watch the bread etc being made. We decided to go back for breakfast next morning. Lovely fresh bread and interesting to watch what you were eating being made.

Other viewers have put it well: just a great place to hang out, drink coffee and eat good baked goods We had mochas and croissants that were fresh out of the oven. Great place!

Great atmosphere, nice relaxed place to start the day with some pastries or freshly made bread. Love that you can see the guys making the produce downstairs! Worth a stop for a quick morning bite.

Neighborhood Profile
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
