Nice place! There’s so much diversity of food and a great atmosphere. I would recommend to try and share different options.

So many delicious choices with so much variety, it was hard to select my meal! We tried three stations and all were fabulous- Vietnamese spring rolls, ramen, and bitterballen sampler. Yummy! Would highly recommend!

Absolutely brilliant here! We were worried prices were gonna be silly prices (similar place to Camden market in London where it was £12 average a dish last month) but I don’t think so. Glass of pinot Grigio was 5.50 euro. Pint of draft Heineken 7.50 euro. Dishes at the bbq place The Rough Kith a ranged from 7.90 pulled pork sandwich to 14+ for platters-the pulled pork and pork belly were amazing. I also had two Al Pastor Tacos from Taqueria Lima which were absolutely sensational! And Korean Wings from Holy Fried Chicken that weee to absolutely die for. And then more - duck dim sum and spicy chicken bites from the Dim Sum stall. Also excellent. There is also a fresh seafood stall selling oysters, meatball stand, gourmet burger stand, Vietnamese food stand (poke bowl looked awesome) a wine bar, gin bar, lots of seating around and great atmosohere. Highly recommended.

Part of the De Hallen (an old tram depot), Foodhallen is a great place to go if you're not sure what you want to eat. I would guess that there's over 20 different booths to choose from (burgers, Thai, pizza, BBQ, Vietnamese, crepes, noodles) plus a couple of bars offering a great selection of craft beers, wines and cocktails. It does get busy and you can't book a table, so you have to keep your eye out for anyone leaving so that you can grab their table.

Everytime I travel to a capital city I always try to seek out their food markets and I'm glad I visited this one. There's plenty of food options to choose from, including their famous bitterballen as well as food from Mexico, America and Japan. Although it's not smack bang in the middle of the centre, it's accesible by tram and the metro. The food hall itself was so busy and there was nowhere near enough seating. So i'd definitely recommend finding a seat first before you order your food. Another recommedation, is that if you head towards the back of the food hall there's a seating area upstairs, which has an array of seating, it's much cooler and nowhere near as busy. Overall, a decent sized food hall (not the biggest compared to other ones in Europe) and a excellent choice of food options

I'm so glad we visited the Foodhallen while on a weekend trip to Amsterdam. There are so many different foods, it's overwhelming! We went for lunch on two separate days just so we could try more. The bitterballen from the back left corner are divine with lots of different flavours. We also tried quesadilla, hot dogs, rice paper wraps, Korean baguettes, gyoza, pancakes... (there were 6 of us!). Get there early to secure a table as it does fill up fast.

Most of the stands will outright ignore potential patrons until a sizable queue builds up. They just don’t care, which feels VERY different from the rest of Amsterdam where people are helpful and kind. This is a trap filled with rude workers and little charm. AVOID.

Given all the hype, so we made a specific trip here for Foodhallen, Initially impressions was your standard food hall, eg stalls situated around a number of tables in the middle. There was a good vibe here and atmosphere was good. Finding a table was the first challenge. Due to the number of food stalls, potential hype etc, the number of tables is inadequate. We were quite lucky and someone left as we were walking back the way we came looking for a table. You will find that many people grab a seat, then look for food, as it is potentially difficult to get a seat. We got food from a number of stalls, The Butcher, Vietview, Noodleshop, Renato and Holy Fried Chicken. The burger from the Butcher was nice, nothing special, but nice. Probably consider it average pricing. Vietview was a bit of a disappointment, with its rice paper rolls and the beef sandwich. The portion size of the rice paper rolls was decent, but was lacking something given the price. Noodleshop was a tasty bowl of noodle soup, that went down well. The pizza we got from Renato, was good, probably the best out of the food that we got. The biggest disappointment was left to Holy Fried Chicken. We saw the portion sizes, so we knew it was far from generous for the price. Given the pricing of the chicken wings, we were hoping that the taste would make up for the portion sizes, we were quite disappointed. Again, it wasn't "bad" per se, it was just a bit too far from good. Would we come again? Unlikely. We will chalk it down for the experience, but we wouldn't recommend coming here if you are after quality food, there are plenty of other options available.

love the vibe here and all the different food and drink options! we went on a Saturday afternoon and it was very busy, it took us a while to find a seat and it was a bit of a free for all. once we had a seat however it was very enjoyable. slightly on the more expensive side compared to other places we ate

Overpriced junk food. Dubious hygiene. All very expensive and not so fresh. We had some bao at Mere du Nord, very expensive super small portion and not so good. Probably made from frozen precooked food. Decent pizza and Chinese dumplings.

Something for everyone! Great food and a fun atmosphere. It was a rather lengthy walk (25 minutes) from the Anne Frank House but definitely worth it!

We had a great time here. There is a huge variety of food and catered for different cuisines and needs. The gyozas were made fresh and the best I’ve ever had. The Mexican place had great nachos. The hot dog place had great hot dogs and vegan options too. You could easily spend a few hours here chilling and eating. I can’t wait to go back the next time I’m in Amsterdam
