Spacious setting, great surroundings, a very good value. The food is very well cooked and promptly served. The personnel are young, some of them apparently just from school, but very able, friendly and helpful. Perhaps a minor but a charming detail: having left my smartphone...More

Went for dinner between Xmas and New Year. No reservation but got a table after waiting a very pleasant 45mins in the bar. The food was delicious. There were a few problems with the holiday-staff service and some minor issues with the temperature of the...More

Located right next to the zoo, this restaurant calls for a great dinner. We had the ravioli with mascarpone as starters and the duck with beluga lentils as a main course. The desserts were classic but timeless. We decided to go with chocolate ganache cake...More

We went to Cafe Plantage on a recommendation. This was the best meal we had during our stay in Amsterdam. The food was delicious. The dining room was a beautiful glass-enclosed room next to the Artis Zoo. While the restaurant was busy, the service was...More

Delicious food, very well executed and tasted Devine. However some of the group said there’s wasn’t on the same scale... Service is a little hit and miss, be prepared to wait....which is a shame, as I would give it 5 if they managed to remember...More

My wife and I dined here on a recent trip to Amsterdam and were delighted with the quality and presentation of our food. The restaurant which is situated by the entrance to Artis Zoo is large and busy but service is personal and friendly.Highly recommended!

The restaurant is near the Artis zoo. You can see flamingos, storks, grey herons and shore birds at the garden. The breakfast and lunch menu are excellent and the ingredients are very fresh. It’s well priced for this quality.

Nice food, friendly service in a very noisy surrounding. The location is nice, but no attempts have been made to make the restaurant a friendly place to the ear. Do not go there for serious conversations. You continuously need to make yourself heard and raise...More

Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of
tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists
and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the
best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe.
Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops
of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones
Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods
such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring
