Wonderful wine tasting experience right in the heart of Amsterdam... Very attentive, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, English-friendly staff! Great selection of wines and great selection of wine and cheese pairings. Great place as a destination or a stop during your night or day!

Go there. Just do it! We went there twice and loved it. First day for the bubbles. Second day for the wines. Try the wine flight (I think) with a mini wine tasting for 18 euros. 3 glasses of lovely wine!!!

I read about Bubble & Wines before my trip and it was one of the many things I was very excited about. I love champagne. I’m not a big champagne drinker. Certainly not a connoisseur or anything, but I really enjoy it. For me, it’s a once in while treat. But the idea of doing a champagne tasting was very... More

This wine bar is in a fabulous location. The ambience is perfect, the lighting is romantic and the seating is cozy. It's a fun place for friends to go and chat and drink. The staff was very friendly and there was a good selection of wines!

Amsterdam needs this place. Beer, yeah, everywhere. Good beer? Yeah. Almost everywhere. Wine? Good luck. This spot in the heart of Amsterdam is a nice change of pace. Sleek and contemporary yet small and cozy. We shared a couple flights as recommended by our waitron and they wines were good and interesting. Amsterdam is not a great place for wine... More

Really great wine flights, delicious prosecco and fun atmosphere with lovely service; the staff were knowledgeable and very pleasant. We all greatly enjoyed our visit there and the only downside was that it closed too early for us!

We stopped in here late night for a glass of Champagne. It is located a very short distance just south of Dam Square. The out side is deceiving because it is larger inside than it looks outside. The wait staff were wine and Champagne savvy and took good care of us. We did the Champagne tasting and it was really... More

This bar, located down a side street and very tucked away, if a must stop for a wine lover's tour of the city. It had over 50 wines available by the glass, preserved in Enomatics. The glass pours were divided into categories, e.g. "Italian Red", with each category available to order as a flight. A wonderful way to sample different... More

A lovely, calm but cool bar. Proprietor knowledgable about the best wines and champagnes to drink. Also, very friendly and welcoming. Close to red light district . We went during week so was quiet, but I imagine much busier at weekend. Highly recommend a visit to this bar.

Thank Laura J

Located on one of the quaintest lanes in Amsterdam, and only a mere two minute walk from the Dam Square, you will find the Champagne and wine bar, Bubbles & Wines.
At this moment we serve 54 wines by the glass. Upon opening these wines are preserved by an advanced conservation system that keep the wines from losing any quality and remain in top condition, making it possible for us to serve higher quality wines. If you are having difficulty to choose or if you just like to taste some different wines, than we can offer you a flight of wine. You will get a combination of 3 half glasses; selected by grape, region or quality of wine. You will find our open wines and flights on the first two pages. We also have an extended wine- and Champagne list by the bottle, representing wines both from old as new world countries. We offer a heavenly selection of Gourmet Bites which will enhance your appreciation of our delectable Champagnes and wines.

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighborhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
