We went to the Pantry because of its good reviews and it definitely did not disappoint! The owners greeted us very warmly and were super friendly throughout the whole dinner. Moreover, they were super attentive and served us in a timely manner. We were four...friends and ordered 4 different dishes, all of which were delicious (oven dish, hutspot, pea soup and sausages). Generally they are very filling dishes so we do recommend going whenever one is feeling the hungriest and try not eating beforehand in order to fully enjoy the restaurant's food. By far the best restaurant we ate at in Amsterdam.More

Loved the Hutspot with Meatball and the Pea Soup (and I am not much of a pea fan). Both were so delicious. The bread with herb butter was also wonderful. My husband enjoyed the juicy and flavorful pork chop. The service was friendly and good....This is a cozy place and my group of 4 Americans very much enjoyed it.More

My colleagues and I visited this restaurant after a long day of training. Being a mixed-international group, it was fun to all experience the real Dutch food. The restaurant is cozy with Delfts blauw on the walls and Dutch background music playing all night. As...a starter we shared the bitterballen, bread with kruidenboter, and a platter with haring, paling, and Dutch shrimps. It all tasted good and fresh. There were plenty of choices on the menu for everyone, including for one vegetarian girl and those who do not enjoy potatoes or stamppot. The goat cheese salad was large and filling and delicous. Overall, I would definetely recommend this restaurant for visitors to Amsterdam.More

The dishes me and my boyfriend had were very good in general. We had “hutspot, boerenkoolstampot and zuurkoolstampot” with meatballs. The zuurkoolstampot however was a lil bit too sour for us. The dessert “vla with yoghurt” als too sour and we really missed the sugar...in it. So perhaps these dishes were not meant for us. Overall; excellent service! Our waiter was super friendly and the place is small and cozy. If you wanna try traditional Dutch food, this is the place to be.More

The food was amazing, definitely recommend for some authentic Dutch food! We went at lunch time so it was quiet and cosy and the kind gentlemen saw it was my birthday and brought out my food with a sparkler in it! We will definitely visit...again! Thank you! (The street is filled with cafes and restaurants, we kept coming down the lane for food for the rest of our stay)More

Outstanding local cuisine! We happened upon this one while walking from the museum campus back to the train station. It’s small and cozy. A bit dark inside but we sat outside and enjoyed the weather and people watching. The service was friendly and fast. The...food was simple delicious!! Loved every bite and the apple pie was wonderful! This is a great place to go!!More

We wanted to try some local food - other than fries or pancakes - so we went to the Pantry. It is a little crowded, but cozy. The service was good and the food was tasty and interesting (for us). The prices are reasonable.

Yes you can. Booking ahead is recommended. If not, they’ll do their best to seat you and if you need to wait, you can smoke some legal weed outside while you wait for your table!! Food was amazing.

They will do takeaway but it won’t travel well. Has to be hot out of the oven or why bother?
