The food here is hearty and portions are large. As a family of 4 (two teens) we ordered the fondue as a starter. And then the traditional meatball and mashed potatoes. Good food. Meatball was large and dense but tasty.

My sister, mom and I were all in Amsterdam for only a day, so we wanted to make sure we could try some authentic Dutch food while we were there. After scowling Yelp and Tripadvisor for cheap, moderately rated, authentic Dutch restaurants, I came across...More

We found this place while we are walkşng spontaneously. You can taste the traditional Dutch food here. Staff are friendly, the place is small and brown furnished. Weate croquet, and some traditional beef and meatballs. Everything is good. Prices are quiet well

We came here to meet my daughter's online friend face to face. Through a drenching rain ("typical Amsterdam weather...") we made it a mile or so, with some lost-ness along the way, and found ourselves there a good fifteen minutes early. They had an awning,...More

We went there for a family dinner during our weekend in Amsterdam. The staff was nice and the service was fast. The food was good and definitely typical! Not a must-try but a nice-to-try if you are in the city.

I'm not sure if this is what the Dutch eat on a regular basis, because if it is, how do they keep their figures. Very nice place, very welcoming staff, nice beer. Food was interesting rather than delicious, and perhaps a bit stodgy for me.

We came to this restaurant based on other Trip Advisor reviews and weren't disappointed. It is not a fancy place and it is in the middle of the touristy row of 'pizza/pasta/burger' establishments. Do yourself a favor - skip those and come to the Pantry....More

We ducked in to the Pantry on a cool day with intermittent showers. Hungry and chilled, we were seeking something hearty. We were not disappointed. The service was friendly and warm, the food was delicious. As a Celiac, an unplanned visit to a restaurant can...More

The Pantry Imagine a restaurant version of the successful TV show I Love Holland, and that is what The Pantry is like. This cosy restaurant near the Leidseplein distinguishes itself with its typically Dutch atmosphere and traditional old-Dutch dishes. Hospitality is important. The staff understands the dining and hospitality business and have worked here for years, during which the recognition of this restaurant has been ever increasing. The Dutch living room atmosphere is enhanced by the use of lampshades, Delftware and old paintings on the wall, complemented by the background music. The Pantry works exclusively with fresh, homemade products. Its location in the Leidseplein neighbourhood makes this an ideal restaurant to eat before catching a theatre show or movie. The doors open from eleven in the morning, so it's also a great place to go for lunch
