Ohhhhhhhh they are beautiful and huge! The chocolates, obviously! Only drawback is a) you will find it difficult to choose (unless you’re a heathen and want to know where the Hershey’s are) and b) price - they work out about €3 each. Yes I said...each! So choose wisely and savour slowly!More

You get what you pay for. Not cheap but an amazing assortment of bonbons with a range of classic and exotic flavours, On a par with my other favourite chocolaterie - Le Chat Bleu in Le Touquet.
We stopped here on our cycle tour and the chocolates gave us a much needed boost to finish our tour. The chocolates were amazing . I would recommend the honey chocolate. Not cheap but very tasty
This place was in so many magazines and shows we went to visit..it's very snobby and although staff try and help it's annoying they have nothing to sample. Chocolate is good but nothing special to justify the prices in my opinion.
After doing a fabulous cheese tasting next door, we saw Puccini as we were leaving and decided to stop in for a treat. My husband ordered an espresso filled dark chocolate which was fantastic! I ordered a walnut milk chocolate that was not as great....If you go here, I would recommend the dark chocolate over the milk chocolate. Service was warm and friendly.More
Orangettes with chocolate were simply perfect , exactly perfects Almonds and chocolate excellent as well
I sent my partner on a little mission to collect my favourite chocolates when he visited Amsterdam. They are delicious and anytime anyone goes to Amsterdam they receive the same request.
We bought some packages chocolates and asked for a covering. They have a us cardboard box and then weighed the chicolates with the box- our 175g of chocolates charged as 310g. Blatant rip-off so just be aware.More

While doing research for my initial visit to Amsterdam, Puccini Bomboni popped up on quite a few lists of “must do” experiences. Often touted as home to some of the best chocolate in the Netherlands, who was I to say no to these signs and...signifiers pointing me towards Puccini? On top of wanting some sweet treats for myself, I figured these chocolates and bonbons would be a great gift to bring home to the family. I mean, with unique flavours on offer like prune, pepper, tamarind and marzipan currant, amongst others, how could I possibly go wrong? The gift boxes that I brought home from my first trip were, unsurprisingly, a big hit. Many a compliment was given to Puccini Bomboni not only for the impressive average size of the bonbons, but also for their flawless execution. Each bonbon is made using sustainable chocolate (an important buzz-phrase these days) and only the finest natural ingredients. The end result? A chocolate piece that is imbued with a story of love and passion for the craft while concomitantly tasting just as good as it looks. One can indeed taste the liefde – and quality – that goes into each bonbon. That said, Puccini Bomboni is a little on the pricey side ($3.65 CAD for one bonbon); however, I will always say that you get what you pay for. In this case, you get superb chocolate creations – some of the best in the Netherlands and certainly some of the best I’ve ever had. The chocolate here is so far above and beyond typical North American chocolate that they don’t even begin to compare. And believe me, when you bite into a Puccini Bomboni chocolate treat, you’ll quickly see and taste why they’ve made National Geographic’s “10 Best Chocolatiers in the World” list! FOOD: 5/5 SERVICE: 5/5 VALUE: 4/5 RECOMMENDATION: If you’re a chocolate fanatic and happen to be visiting Amsterdam, you owe it to yourself to check out Puccini Bomboni at either their Staalstraat or Singel locations. The aromas, scents and visual feasts available to the eyes are simply unmatched! Highly recommended. PS: If you found this review helpful in any way please consider hitting the "helpful" button!More
