The food was delicious. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Because of the large party I was with (20 people) they had trouble with serving the food on time. Especially the first course took really long. The food was totally worth waiting for!

Enjoyed every moment of the evening and every bite of the delicious food! If you are looking for a restaurant to taste elegant Maghreb cuisine, Mamouche is the place to go! The restaurant is chic and elegantly decorated. The white tablecloths and candles on every table are providing a very cosy atmosphere. The dishes are elegantly and modernly presented with... More

A great pic for our last evening in Amsterdam. In the heart of lively district De Pjip, this small restaurant is decorated with modern taste. Welcoming staff and great house cocktail as apperitiv. The menu includes the classical tajine, but as well raffinated and creativ choices such as the Milles Feuilles de l'Atelas and the Duck Confit Leg. North african... More

Great restaurant - we visited on a rainy July evening, were the first customers in, but by the time we left the place was full. Waitress very friendly and took time to walk us through all the menu options, which hadn't been translated into English as they'd just reviewed it. Lovely Moroccan food, all felt very authentic, service was great,... More

Excellent all round. The chef surprise was varied and my wife and I shared each course. Wonderful blend of flavours. Very helpful staff. I'm not a wine guy so I can't comment on the wines. Overall one of the best meals I've had in a very long time.

This restaurant just never disappoints. The food is always of the highest quality and delicious, the chef surprise meal with wine pairing is stupendous and tremendous value and an experience in and of itself, with chef choosing the entrees for you, and the wine pairing was always spot on, the lamb shank is also a must have. The staff completely... More

Was looking forward to having meal here after visiting Rijksmuseum. Website said it was open today from 5pm - 1am. Arrived about 7pm, place not open and in darkness. Nothing on door to indicate why. Suggest you phone first before making a trip there only to be disappointed. Looks like we could even have made a reservation online so don't... More

Hadn't had authentic Moroccan food in quite some time and wasn't expecting such wonderful food in this gentrifying part of Amsterdam. The authentic ingredients and fine preparations make this a destination restaurant. The attentive service is a plus.

Staying in De Pijp

Neighborhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
