Chose this one for a quick dinner after roaming around The Jordaan. Service by Mo was good - same with Mineau (sp?) but the other fellow wasn’t interested in being there. Delivered bottled water and chose not to take cap off or pour it for...More

The food was overpriced for what was presented and the service very slow. Asked for extra mayonnaise and it never arrived. Gave up waiting . The food was good quality but there are many better places

Cafe Luxembourg has a great location for people watching. We loved watching the bike riders zooming by us. It is really amazing. The club sandwich was delicious. If you order fries, one order will be enough for two of you. I had the Croque Monsieur....More

I always enjoyed my visits to Cafe Luxembourg when living in Amsterdam for many years, a fabulous interior with a huge rustic bar, a great outside conservatory and terrace with fabulous views of the Spui district, a wonderful atmosphere. On my recent visit I went...More

We were served by three waiters in total and two of them couldn’t raise a smile between them. When asked if we could substitute the chips which came with the Mussels for bread we were met with a disinterested shrug. We should have left then...More

I had a wonderful salad with seafood. My husband's steak was OK. Service was fair, but we did eat fairly early.

We visited this place for early dinner. The food was ok, but overpriced, the service was too slow (we were told that this is because of the large group but this group came after we made our order...)

My wife and I had dinner here on our first night in Amsterdam. The food was delicious and the service was superb. I have found that most Americans who complain about service in Europe don’t understand that the custom is not to rush diners as...More

Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of
tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists
and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the
best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe.
Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops
of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones
Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods
such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring
