Very friendly staff and decent food. High quality bar snacks for under 10 euros. The place is cozy and looks fantastic!

Stopped in for lunch based on Lonely Planet recommendation. Nice laid back vibe, good location and a good selection of food. My club sandwich was great, the gnocchi my partner ordered was a little strange, seemed to be pan-fried. Stick to the sandwiches!

Pretyt standard neighbourhood bar. I was put off by not having my sticky/icky table cleaned before I had a beer and snack.

Me and my friends really visited this cafe on a mini break to Amsterdam. I decided on the steak sandwich with truffle mayonnaise. Often, I have found food in Europe can be expensive yet bland, so it was nice and refreshing to have lunch that was bursting full of flavour. Both the exterior and interior of the restaurant are quaint,... More

The place is recommended in Lonely Planet and I was so disapointed after my visit. Its a cute and adorable place with the perfect amount of wear and tear. But, the service was slow and when they came to take my order at the table they only brushed away some crumbles. There was big and sticky marks on the table... More

We were in search of some winter sun to enjoy a coffee before diving in to the Nine Streets district. There's a little line of tables outside and we had a perfect coffee outside. Inside is just as nice. All felt very chilled and bohemian. Recommend as an off the main street place to park up for an hour or... More

We stopped here after dinner hoping to find Chartreuse, our digestif of choice. The friendly bartender didn't have any, but he suggested 48, a sweet Spanish liqueur. Many of the patrons seemed to know each other, but we felt very welcome.

I have been to this place several times. Its located on a canal so on a nice day you can sit outside and watch the boats and people go by. The food is simple, great and well priced. Its very cosy and I like it most on a rainy day! Would recommend a visit for good vibe and homely food.

This little bar/cafe is super cosy and quite special really for the atmosphere. The food is simple but nice. The place is usually full and it can be hard to find a place to squeeze in.

Staying in Jordaan

Neighborhood Profile
Jordaan
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
