Whenever I get a chance to visit Amsterdam this is the one place that I always go to. I love their escargot and they easily have some of the best ribs I have ever had, both the dry rub and normal ribs are excellent, though...More
I'm from Chicago and know a great rack of ribs. Cafe de Klos is hands down one of the best rib joints I've been to, I would have never guessed they could crank out such fine product in Amsterdam. We also had the Lamb chops...More
Received this recommendation from Airbnb Experience host and did not disappoint. As many restaurants that we were interested in were closed on Mondays and not available we decided to come here. Atmosphere was a bit like a dive bar but the food was worth it....More
Went in after reading about the Ribs in a magazine in the UK. It is small place like most Cafe’s in Amsterdam but very welcoming. Staff are great and informative. I was advised to go for the standard ribs by a member of the team....More
Husband gorged on the ribs, told me they're one of the best he's had but I sat there to give him company and ate my butter garlic potato and his side salad as there isn't anything on the menu for vegetarians. I understand it is...More
I went there on my first day in Amsterdam after a recommendation. Meat looked good. Too bad I did not get to taste it. Owner was snarky and sarcastic and the service was ridiculously slow. After waiting for forty minutes I got a water and...More
My husband stumbled across Cafe De Klos a few years ago but never got the chance to get in as it gets very busy. We went back to Amsterdam last week as a group of 8 but we broke away for 1 night for a...More
Third time eating here and it gets better!!
If your coming to Amsterdam you have to experience this place! Chicken and ribs to die for!
Overall spent around 50 euros for two meals with sides and drinks.
We had amazing ribs (smoked & not smoked, both delicious)
we waited about an hour for a spot on the bar, and another 30 minutes for our food, totally worth the wait.
Come hungry, the portions are huge !

Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring
hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
