A 15 minute walk from Centraal Station in a relatively quiet area near the action at Dam Square, De Bolhoed sits modestly across from one of the many canals. The exterior is inconspicuous, the interior a throw back to past decades. Without reservations around 1830...More

After searching for some vegetarian options we lucked upon this spot! Delicious soups, hot (squash basil) and cold (beet gazpacho), and very large tasty “greek” salad to share. The homemade hummus was excellent! Super happy we found it!

Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of
tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists
and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the
best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe.
Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops
of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones
Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods
such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring
