Found this through Trip Advisor, not many vegetarian / vegan places in Amsterdam and this was literally around the corner from our air bnb. Service was coolish (a smile would be good) and some options had sold out - a good sign. Wine simple -...More
A waiter from the Eye recommended this restaurant as we wanted somewhere to eat before going to the Anne Frank House. At first I was really impressed - I liked the décor and feel of the restaurant. I ate with my husband and teenager daughter...More
A 15 minute walk from Centraal Station in a relatively quiet area near the action at Dam Square, De Bolhoed sits modestly across from one of the many canals. The exterior is inconspicuous, the interior a throw back to past decades. Without reservations around 1830...More
The venue was quirky and cosy and very busy as clearly it succeeds with vegan food. The food looked amazing and very tempting. I had the quiche and salad which was a substantial size for lunch and very filling .The taste was almost spot on...More

Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring
hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
