There was nothing bland bout our meal here. Quite possibly one of the best meals of our vacation. meal was not rushed adn timed perfectly...enjoyed the barley "risotto" and though my taste buds had gone to heaven....mostly quiet and charming atmosphere in an array of different rooms/buildings stitched together as one restaurant.

The food tasted as if it had been kept warm in a steam table. Huge disappointment. Even the panna cotta tasted like nothing. I'm very sorry I wasted an evening there. This restaurant is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. Maybe they should give guided tours and forget about cooking. Kantjil & de Tiger across the street is... More

I eat here every year at IBC time (September). The set meal allows you to try things that you wouldn't normally choose from a menu. I've never had a bad meal here and it's where we take any business customer we are entertaining. We always choose the complimenting wines to go along with the various courses.

A very authentic old Dutch house atmosphere prepares you for some lovely herring and luxury stamppot (a pleasant feeling btw!). But/And there is little or none of that in the menu (neither 3-6 dish sets nor a la carte) which is not a disappointment at all. The menu concept is more of a typical Dutch "eetcafe" (grilled fish or stake,... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend and we couldn't have been happier to be in such a historical place and setting. The 5 17 century houses were so charming and if the walls could've talked, I could just imagine the conversations that went on there. The food was delicious especially the filet and lamb neck with lavender... More

We organised a business dinner here for 25 people from different countries. Because of being a group we selected one of the fixed dinners. Having eaten here a couple of years ago i hoped for the same haute-cuisine Dutch style that I experienced before. Although the whole entourage made everything perfect for our international guestst we found the quality of... More

Very nice restaurant with Dutch cuisine in a 17th century building. The interior is decorated like a museum. On the walls you can see the swords, halberds, armor. The waiter told in detail about each dish. The menu has traditional Dutch oude and jonge Jenever (Dutch gin) which is worth trying.
