Agree with the vast majority of reviews. Ambiance, food, service are all the best we had in Amsterdam. Cheeses has skillet(pictured) is bomb.com. Generous portions, consistent quality(we had to stop twice) and very pleasant staff. Easy access off the 17 tram from main tourist area...near the centraal station. Have your QR code in the corona app ready if you want to sit inside(like everywhere else for that matter). Took cash and credit, but get there before 10am if you don’t have a reservation, especially Friday-Sunday.
SIDE NOTE FOR AMERICANS and non-Dutch/EU, as of October your Vaccination card can’t be used for anything here!! I repeat, our vaccines don’t work here, only those who have received Dutch or EU vaccines can be used the corona checker app. You need to get tested daily, every 24 hrs and upload your daily certificate into the corona app.
This was my last place to eat before I went to the airport. It was delicous. i had the Rasco waffle, chicken, and scramble egg with Grolsch beer. Does this remind you of another place at a different airport that is owned by someone famous?...It comes closee. Hopefully this restaurant can add more options.
They accept Euros cash. I sat outside and brought my vaccine card and test in case they asked. Would definitely come back again.More
We went with our 2 young daughters. They loved the food and so did we. The waffles are excellent, the fried chicken very tasty, the fruit juices delicious. The location in a quiet part of the city is also peaceful and with plenty of free...parking on a Sunday. Prices very reasonable and staff welcoming and friendly. Definitely and easily can recommend Staring at Jacob.More
I really enjoyed my visit to Staring at Jacob. It’s situated on a quite street next to the canal with plenty of seating. The service was fast and very friendly (the Irish lady in particular was especially nice). There is plenty to choose from on...the menu and portion sizes were good. Food was delicious and came quickly. I’d recommend.More
