I went there because of good feedback I've seen at TripAdvisor. For me it's not as awesome and some of you tell. It's definitely not an Italian restaurant. It's just a regular restaurant that do pizzas. Quality for price is good. I give 4.

This Da Portare Via is right in the middle of the Red Light District and problably the best in this part of town. Great pizzas to share, like the simple but amazing pizza Margarita or pizza Sofia with mozzarella, ricotta and pancetta from the wood ovens. It's a real carb treat ;-)

More like a takeaway with tables. Grab a table and menu, order at the counter. Then sit and wait for delicious Pizza to be delivered to your table. Small selection of Pizza's, but perfectly prepared. Thin crust Pizza, prepared from scratch and cooked in a wood fired oven, best ever. Good value for money.

Had to wait for the waiter to leave his chatter at one of the tables before we could place our orders at the desk. Had to clean a spot for ourselves because everyone was very busy. Food is ok but if you take service into account this place is a don't go.

Sometimes this is the sort of place that just hits the spot. Not posh, but fun. Stride in, grab a menu, order at the counter, choose from the limited selection of drinks and pay (not very much) up front. Then grab a table while you wait for the pizza. Which will be freshly made, carefully prepared, well cooked, and brought... More

We love our pizzas and this one didn't let us down. Thin crust with tasty toppings, (blue cheese and fig yum), and great beer. A gem amongst all the standard other food this road.

Simple, tasty, fresh just perfect to stop eat something and move ahead. Pizza is very Italian not like the thick disgusting so call pizza around town. Highly recommended.

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighborhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
