We looked online for ideas whilst visiting Amsterdam and this restaurant came up. So glad we went in there! The food was amazing. So many flavours on one plate. The nann bread was fluffy with lots of butter and garlic and the hot sauce was...very HOT! Staff very helpful and polite and the wine was fruity.More

My partner and I are totally obsessed with Sherpa! In a city where the indian food standard can lack... sherpa delivers top class authentic nepalese and indian food every time! We order from here once a week and it has become our weekly staple and...we tell everyone that this is the spot to go to if you fancy a Nepalese or indian! Look forward to our one next week - big thanks from De Wittenkade!!! 🙌🙌More

What a fantastic dinner! After looking through TripAdvisor, we decided to make a reservation at Sherpa and were so glad we did. The restaurant was very busy and for good reason - the food is fabulous. They have a great variety of dishes from different...regions and everything was delicious. Just wish we had more time in the city because we would have gone back. Sherpa is a must visit if you like Indian, Nepalese and/or Tibetan food.More

Thank you the food was very tasty. I ordered lamb with 12 spices and was very pleased. It was so tasty that I was happy to order a second portion. Unfortunately, I was already full after the first one. Greetings to the kitchen.

Tasty indian dishes and fast serving. Modest prices. I would recommend this place if you fancy indian cuisine. I’m not sure about those metal winemugs though…

The food was fantastic and with large portions. We were able to get the left over food back in boxes so there was no food waste. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was great. The location is wonderful and easily accessible...by tram.More

Comments here on TA are so enthusiastic that my expectations were exceedingly high and result into a little disappointment Let's start with the plus: - the food is good - the waiters are friendly Then the rest: we made a reservation on Fork which had...no effects, at least the staff were completely unaware of it. As a consequence we couldn't have a table outside and were proposed to sit at the last remaining, worse table inside, at the convergence between the kitcheen door and the wc corridor, which we shoud have declined. The place was dark likes a middle Age church and we had to use the smartphone torch to read the menu Then I made the second mistake: I chose an all-in-one menu which, at the end, was too "Indian oriented" (I love Indian cuisine but if I go to a Tibetan-Nepalese restaurant I expect to eat Tibetan-Nepalese food). Apart that, the food was good, too much (sadly we were not able to finish It and I find that food waste Is a shame), too disordered. The price was too high, given the location. In conclusion: - during the good season try to have a table outside, the inside Is not that confortable (at least for the price) - choose a la carte, not the menu, and try to select those Tibetan-Nepalese dishes that you cannot easily find elsewhereMore

Excellent food, delish samosa’s and curry dishes. Would recommend and eat here again. Clean restaurant and bathroom with minimal but tasteful decor. The server’s were friendly.

It was not the first time for us at Sherpa, and it won't be the last. We love the food (momos are highly recommend) and the hospitality.

I have had dinner continuously 7 days. I don't have word to describe the hospitality and quality of food. As I am owner of same kind of restaurant in protugal, I give 10 by 10 in all section, if anybody wandering in street to have...Nepali food with the wonderful Himalaya herbs, go to sherpa. They are often quite busy so better to conform first. Best wishes to sherpa for further prosperity.More

Went there yesterday. Food is average. It is a prime example of a tourist trap. The waiter will try to get you order as much as possible with only one goal to increase your bill. Further, he didn’t give me a bill when I paid....When asked for one, he came back with extra cash saying there was mistake in the bill. If you are looking for authentic momos, go to Bhatti Pasal (by far the best Nepalese place in AMS) instead. This place is just not worth it.More

Our family of 6 enjoyed our dinner, we had the chicken biryani, mismas Momo, samosas and Tshel Sherpa feast. The food was great for the adults and oldest, while the younger ones were happy with the garlic and butter naan. The helping sizes were good.
