What a find!

I must admit I was a bit apprehensive as not only was it discretely hidden but the menu was a short half page. I was hungry and went for the special. It was absolutely fabulous. I couldn't have expected more. It was Indonesian cuisine as I remember it from years ago in Bali. I must admit I was... read more

Nice cosy place in the centre of Amsterdam. Descent to good food. I mentioned good 'Dutch' satay in the title, since it does not taste as authentic Indonesian satay. The Rendang was good but the taste was a bit off and too salty. Rice was also not perfectly cooked, but good enough. Good friendly service, although we asked in the... More

Stumbled across this place on our first night, located on a side street near Amsterdam Dungeon. Behind the curtain lay a hidden gem! The staff explained the menu, recommended drinks and both of them showed an interest in us throughout. We ordered the mixed satay and the sides it came with were incredible. Don't leave without trying the house gin,... More

We came across this place by accident. Having discovered many gin & tonic experts here in Amsterdam, the fact this place specialized in them was a draw. They are very proud of their infused gin. and I have to say I was very impressed with the specialty g&t (with grapefruit). We also tried the one with elderflower and mint and... More

Lovely little cosy bar/restaurant. We just stumbled upon it while walking around amsterdam. Neither of us have tried this sort of food before but it was lovely. Would defiantly go back. Great service and friendly staff :)

It did take some time to find it but it was worth looking for. The food was nice and right up my street. The drinks were divine and it's location makes it a great place where you can meet up with your friends prior to hitting the clubs with a belly full of sate and drinks. Highly recommended.

This place looks interesting from outside…..But thats it. Walked in …no hello, no eye contact from any service staff where it was very clear that your guest just walked in. Service was all over the place, food came , but no plates, no cutleries , no napkins , no explanation. Menu can small and simple but is has to be... More

A cocktailbar where you can also eat all kind of indonesian Saté ( Chicken, pork, or goat) meat perpared in a delicious marinade and grilled.. lovely indonesian side dishes and cocktails with an indonesian touch like sereh and ginger. Nice atmosphere, nice and attentive service

The main dish here is sate, indonesian meat/fish skewers. They come in all varieties with a selection of side dishes. The decoration is a bit odd, with tapestry on walls and tables. Service is relaxed and friendly.

Visited the restaurant by chance whilst wondering in the town. Service was efficient and really friendly and the food was excellent. Includes vegan option as well as meat based Indonesian cuisine. Also try the dark beer. Recommended, I would definitely visit again.

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
