Great place for curries! We ordered butter chicken and lamb rogan josh (comes with rice) along with two serves of naan bread. All the dishes were delicious and we had lots of leftovers. Service was friendly as well

I love this restaurant! It is homey, friendly and beyond everything offers a large variety of dishes both for meat lovers and vegetarians, as I am. The dishes are rich in flavour and made with fresh ingredients. The prices are a fair-deal. Warmly recommend it for dinner surplice or for take-away!

We went as a large party and they were so accommodating, moving tables around and running out to get drinks. With about 15 of us each getting different curries and each one incredible. Such strong flavours and perfectly spiced. Will definitely visit every time we go to Amsterdam, wonderful place and staff.

Very nice place, friendly waitress and cook, and delicious Nepalese dishes, large servings, very good meat, lots of fresh vegetables and salad! The spice mixes were excellent! And prices very reasonable! We'll be back for sure! To recommend without a doubt!

I trusted the comments from previous Tripadvisors, and I have to admit that everything was true : excellent and original food, in big quantity in a cosy atmosphere, real indian soft music, warm service. The price ? We paid 33 EUR for 2 drinks + 1 glass of wine + 2 starters + 1 main (big) course + 1 dessert.... More

Me and my boyfriend go for curries a lot in England but we have never had curry this good. We are lovers of mild curries so had korma and butter chicken both tasted beautiful. We had a garlic naan which was delicious too. The staff were friendly and the place was cosy and relaxing. The wine wasn't over priced which... More

This was really good compared to the South Asian cuisine generally on offer in Amsterdam. The service was a bit slow, but it only mattered because we had cinema tickets, and they made up for it with friendliness! It's a nicer atmosphere than you might think from the photos. A good nearby option if you find the Foodhallen is too... More

This family run restaurant is a nice place to have dinner. It is much cheaper and yet way tastier food than any equivalent restaurants that we have been to in Amsterdam. It is a warm and cozy place where staffs treat their guests like a family. We were even more pleased to talk to the chef cook, who owns the... More

Dear guests,We warmly welcome you in the Himalayan Kitchen restaurant. Our restaurant has been named after the highest mountains in the world. The Nepali and Indian kitchen relies on the age-old art of mixing herbs and spices. Just as ancient are the strict preparation criteria that vary according to climate, products available in a certain region, religion, and culture.Besides the written and unwritten laws of the Nepali and Indian kitchen we try to also let you encounter the unique taste of our own kitchen. We developed this taste over the years we have already been working in Amsterdam. Our chef cook has an exceptional culinary talent and uses fresh ingredients, unique and refined spice combinations, and an impeccable preparation manner to provide you with a freshly-prepared meal that. You can indicate your desired spice level and our cooks will be sure that the dishes are prepared accordingly. We do everything to accommodate your wishes, and we hope that you will feel at home here and enjoy your meal.
