We were recommended the Baton for a snack and it hit the spot. They do a small selection of snack and drinks with good service. The brasserie is on three levels with plenty of light. It has a lively feel and is very welcoming.

A delightful little place for lunch. The grilled cheese tuna focaccia was tasty. The coffee and mint tea was nice. The tomato juice was not as good. Perhaps the little bottle should have been shaken before serving. A plus point tabasco sauce is served without asking for it. There are salads also but a bit pricey. Baton seems popular with... Stopped here for lunch on a weekday. Very quaint cozy cafe, it was very busy and quite hard to find a table, I had a wonderful crab and avocado sandwich on ciabatta, very tasty. Service was efficient and fast but not particularly friendly but that is just how our particular server was that day and doesn't mean it is always... More

We had lunch here on our last day in Amsterdam and enjoyed it. We sat outside by the canal and had a light lunch of soup (both tomato and lentil soups were good) and crab salad sandwiches. All very good - and also very good Earl Grey tea!

Found this cafe while aimlessly wandering around Amsterdam. Loved it so much we visited 3 times on our long weekend. Coffee and chai tea are lovely - a small side of gingerbread was a welcome touch. Lovely view overlooking the canal. We sat upstairs in the warmth with a window seat. Staff very friendly and accommodating! I definitely recommend.

Charming cafe on the canal. Coffee, juice and croissant for breakfast was 6.90 and the perfect start to the day.

We sat outside next to the canal and had a long leisurely lunch watching the boats go by. the staff were friendly and accommodating, and the lunch menu was lovely. We went back twice and were not disappointed.

This is a good place to go for a cup of coffee in the morning. You will see that the locals from the area also visit Baton. Coffee is excellent and with sunny weather sit outside. However, inside is fine too. There are enough (Dutch) newspapers when you are bored. For us it is a regular morning stop. Service this... More
