This is a wonderful cafe situated right on a corner of the Herrengracht--perfect for lunch and breakfast. It is always busy, but try to get a seat by the windows, or on a good day, outside by the water. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the food is great. We recommend the smoked salmon sandwich and soup of the... More

Enjoyed the chicken and avocado ciabatta. Quick lunch and good prices. Convenient spot as well and easy to find right on the corner!

The coffee is great, the canal view splendid, the chicken sandwich was ok but not really very special. No smoked chicken but just loads of shredded (roasted) chicken in stead. The apple pie is nice but there are certainly better places in Amsterdam to go for apple pie.

Had a great salad with goat cheese and a nice croque monsieur here. Best to sit outside and enjoy the scenery... We even ran into an old friend 😀

Cappuccino (really really good) comes with a little slice of Dutch spices cake. I added an apple cake. Excellent! The only bad point was that the price was a bit too high.

Sometimes you just still and fall into a place and you get surprised. We had an amazing lunch in this restaurant located in an old canal house at one the most prestigious canals of Amsterdam. A relatively small menu, but what they offered was really excellent and with served by very friendly staff. Worth while to fall in and enjoy!

Popular with the locals which is usually a good sign. We arrived at midday for a coffe then decided to have lunch and by one o clock the place was buzzing. Wouldn't hesitate recommending it.

It's an unassuming place from the outside but it is quite cosy inside, with various levels of seating which provide ample room. The service is very good, the ambient music is well chosen and there is a general ambience of hustle and bustle which fits well with Amsterdam. The sandwiches are generous and good.
