This is one of those places I keep going back to whenever I visit Amsterdam. Their oysters in their "secret sauce" is to die for just like their salt & pepper shrimps. Yummm. Delicious food, not your average Chinese take out. Whenever I go, I make sure we have reservations because they are always full.

Just average dinner with omelette, chicken, fish, beef and cooked vegetable. Nothing special about the food. The place was rather dark. But location is easy to find.

The soups are super, as well as the vegies & other menu. But the staffs are very grumpy. They can even move you when you already pick your seat. They don't like customers with baby stroller. But amazingly, the restaurant is always packed. Not only at the lunch or dinner time. Well, just enjoy the food, forget the grumpy faces!

We already order some take out in a different day before actually eating in the place. The food is decent and the portions are big but nothing special. The highlight of our visit on this restuarant is how rude the chinese waiter is (the one without eyeglasses) it's like we own it to him that we're eating there and that... More

Maybe their portions are much for dinner, maybe it is more suitable as lunch. But we enjoyed anyway. I wish we went here with more people, so we could share other menus. Because we were only 2, we could only order 2 kinds of dish. Tofu stuffed with minced fish and stir mixed veggies with squids. They served us with... More

Never expected this great food! We have been to Nam Kee with a group of 8 on one of the round tables and really enjoyed the whole evening. We had the tasty peking duck (yes, chinese style with bones), prawns, chicken, steamed vegetables, fried noodles,... A chinese friend of mine recommended the place for the steamed oysters with cantonese spices... More

There are a couple of Chinese restaurants in Amsterdam wit this same name. Go to the one at Zeedijk and skip this one. I've been here a couple of times and the food is dull tasting. Most of the people working here are friendly but others are really grumpy. As if they really hate their work... Such a shame.

Decent Chinese but not the best. Was very quiet for somewhere with with good reviews. This is usually a turn off for any food place, the food arrived way too quick so I was sceptical on how fresh it was. In the end it had a decent enough taste but it will not be the best authentic Chinese you eat.

this is an easy distance away but once you have had the easiest there is plenty more to go at to suit all tastes ... no need to hit the centre and pay top dollar

Love the Dim Sum here! the main dishes I've tried have all been good too, but am addicted to the steamed dim sum. All very reasonably priced too!
