This was a spontaneous visit - I cycle past daily, and we needed somewhere to have dinner. The street front is unassuming, once inside the space is warm, eclectic and welcoming. Thee is a small menu, which changes regularly, with both fixed course and alacarte...options. We didn't have enough time to take advantage of the full menu. Two warm slices of Focaccia accompanied by olive tapenade arrived and we ordered the the crudo of sea bass, with avocado and salad, a masterful plating of delicate fish, avocado puree and salad. We chose two of the pasta dishes. Spaghetti with squid ink and almonds, and ravioli with celeriac and gorgonzola. Both intensely flavoured, rich and worth going back for. The service was warm and friendly, and next time we'll have the tiramisu and affogato. They both looked fabulous.More

Go there if you love Italy; the dishes are pure Italian goodness, the people are passionate about what they do, the atmosphere is relaxed and that’s what makes it a great place. Take-away or eat in - both recommendable.

The reason I like this place so much is because this spot has it all. Tasty dishes, welcoming, cosy and relaxed atmosphere, indoor and outdoor seating, take away, affordable prices and owners that are passionate about what they do. Recommended!

We were walking by and we found this gem on Czaar Peterstraat. This is a Deli style Italian trattoria (plates are not cooked to order) however the food was delicious and fresh. The service was top notch friendly and quick to recommend plates and wine...pairings.More

The hotel we stayed at was a few blocks away from this restaurant and was noted as a place that guest liked although the front desk rep said she had never eaten there. My husband, son and I had a wonderful meal! The restaurant clearly...does a lot of take out and catering as the dining area is very small. This should not deter you. It is a very warm spot with lots of character. The food choices consisted of various pasta and vegetable dishes. We had spaghetti, stuffed ravioli and lasagna. Sides of roasted vegetables and broccoli rabe. It was all delicious! The desserts were good and the mini bottles of wine were also very good. The staff is very friendly and the prices are very reasonable. WE will plan to have another meal here when we visit Amsterdam again.More

We intended to visit the Amsterdam Light Festival and just for starters we thought to bump in into this modest restaurant in the Czar Peter street 174. Much to our surprise the Italian food was delicious and we enjoyed the semi-industriai ambiance as well. The...Urugian waitress was very attentive, so even though it was not so much planned we enjoyed staying here for a while. The restaurant closes however at 20.30More

My husband and I were looking for a light, casual dinner and were delighted to find this lovely neighborhood Italian caterer/deli. The food was fresh and natural. The staff were welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed salmon with grilled vegetables and some eggplant ravioli with the...house wine. Most of the customers were doing take away, but we chose to sit at one of the simple tables in the open kitchen for a very pleasant dining experience.More

One of Amsterdams hidden gems. Italy on a plate and it feels like home. Great place, great food. Great hospitality of an Italian couple that migrated from Italy to Amsterdam.

We had the most lovely lunch here a few weeks ago. The place is originally meant to cook for the catering business, but they also have a few tables for customers. It was a great experience: typical and natural Italian food (Italian writing here) in...a relaxed environment with lovely staff to take care of us. The Italian lady was lovely and it was great to see how they were preparing and cooking for the catering. The lady was so nice that when she saw we were eyeing some rather inviting frittata with ricotta they were preparing, she brought us some to taste! Heartily recommended!More
