Don't let the exterior fool you this is quality food. Small family business. Great fusion vegan food and all meals sounded amazing. Unfortunately we couldn't choose one each. What we did order was great and really flavoursome. Portions were a good side. Small resturant so was a bit of a squeeze. Friendly staff. Even had a chat with the main... More

This restaurant is extraordinary. The food is amazing! You sit together with other people, talk to them, eat together. Just loved this place!

We are mostly vegetarians and we're intrigued by this tiny funky restaurant. Quite informal but friendly. My friend ordered the vegan plate Snd we loved everything on it. The guitar plate was less successful. The pakora were quite good. Nice background music. We'd eat here again.

Ok, so you walk in and it's kind of like being in someone's living room. With only a few tables, the chances are you may have to share the large table at the centre with someone else - but honestly, this just kind of adds to the whole vibe of the place as a chilled out family run restaurant. On... More

The owners are sweet, it's a small, cozy no frills kind of space. I had the saucy 'sausage' and rice and salad, it was very delicious, well flavoured, very fresh, I'll be going again at least once before my vacation is over!

The reviews were very mixed, but we thought we'd give it a go any ways. We came in and the atmosphere was very awkward, as people were sharing the big table in the middle, we went on to the tiny table. The guy who owns the place is friendly, and took our order. However the place is dusty, dirty, there... More

The decor of this place took me by surprise. It does feel a little like the living room of a not very tidy squat. Having individual tables would make a huge difference but as it is there is one large dining table to share and a couch. The menu has lots of choice but is not very detailed or informative... More

We loved the huge variety on the menu and were a bit surprised to see burger with bacon & extra cheese as an option - but it was all vegan. The spring rolls were delicious and the Jamaican plate was tasty. Unfortunately there was a big black hair deep fried into part of the burger but apart from that the... More

My sister and I came to this place after looking up vegan places in Amsterdam. When we walked in we were a bit confused by the appearance of the inside but sat at the big table with 2 other people and had a chat with them, lovely way to meet other fellow vegans! Our chef/waiter, (maybe the owner?) Slowly came... More

We came to this place because of all of the great reviews. We've already eaten great vegan food around Europe, so we know it can be done. The place is really small and uninviting. We couldn't figure out where we were supposed to sit. The service was horrible. Behind the counter were two young adults who looked and sounded like... More

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
