Description
MOES is a Restaurant and Beer Tasting Cellar of local craft beer brewery De 7 Deugden ( The 7 Virtues) in the basement under de Appel arts center in Amsterdam. Taste and quality go hand in hand with care for people, animals and the environment.

With always 5 out of the 7 Deugden beers on tap and the rest on bottle, MOES is The place in the city centre to taste the best of this Amsterdam brewery. The 7 Deugden beers get their special flavour by adding herbs and spices. The brewery employs people with a distance to the labor market. Stop by for a glass or a full beer tasting with friends.

Seasonal, local products are the basis of the international menu. Veggies are important to us. MOES makes a modest contribution to reducing the distance from farm to fork by growing it’s own herbs in the garden.

We serve coffee, tea and homemade pie, flammkuchen and other snacks for the small appetite and four types of burgers from cocktail to closing time. Of course you can dine in the evenings, booking is advisable.

Superuse Studios in Rotterdam designed the interior according to the same philosophy; what you get up close, is good. Through a ‘harvest map’ building materials from the environment are found and re-used.

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
