I went to the MOES for a business dinner. It took them two hours to bring the first dish. The starter (mussles) were tasteless, the main course was ok (bavette) but they did not ask how we wanted it cooked assuming we all wanted it...More

On this evening we had three groups, in total 68 people. because they were scheduled after each other, this should be no problem. Two groups showed up at the same time and this caused substantial delay in the kitchen. i agree you had to wait...More

We went for dinner on our last night in Amsterdam and we were very happy with our decision. Good food, drinks amd atmosphere. Also, Moes has a good selection of vegetarian dishes. The sweet potato gnocchi was delicious and the macaroons to die for.

Have been here twice for lunch. The food was always good and service was quite fast. The staff is very friendly. A lot of tables are reserved for the evening so I guess it can get pretty crowded.

We stumbled upon this and stopped for a quick drink on our way to Mike's Bike Tours. We enjoyed it so much we went back after. Lovely local ales at a very reasonable price and loads to choose from. Food was beautiful and really friendly...More

We came here for 2 meals, and both times the food and service was great. We both had burgers here, which the chips were amazing! I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Worst acoustic place ever! No decent conversation possible, unless you shout. Mediocre food. Friendly service though.

we are aware that acoustics in the back section are problematic especially when it is very busy and there are loud groups. usually we can arrange a table in the other part of the restaurant where this is not an issue.

Not one smile the entire time we were there! Tasty beer but the poor service meant we didn't stay long. Won't be returning.

THE SERVICE: We arrived on time for our 7:30 reservation but did not get any service until I asked for a menu a couple minutes before 8. After another 20 minutes or so they dame back and took our drink orders and we waited at...More

We take full responsibility for everything that went wrong that evening (as we did on the night itself, our waitress apologized extensively and of course did not charge for the food and 50% of the drinks). I know you have waited too long for food...More

This place is a bit to the other side of the touristic area in the center of Amsterdam, but actually it is good and worth visit. It is on the mid-way between the central station and the Nemo and the Maritime museums, so, you can...More

Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of
tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists
and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the
best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe.
Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops
of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones
Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods
such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring

MOES is a Restaurant and Beer Tasting Cellar of local craft beer brewery De 7 Deugden ( The 7 Virtues) in the basement under de Appel arts center in Amsterdam. Taste and quality go hand in hand with care for people, animals and the environment. With always 5 out of the 7 Deugden beers on tap and the rest on bottle, MOES is The place in the city centre to taste the best of this Amsterdam brewery. The 7 Deugden beers get their special flavour by adding herbs and spices. The brewery employs people with a distance to the labor market. Stop by for a glass or a full beer tasting with friends. Seasonal, local products are the basis of the international menu. Veggies are important to us. MOES makes a modest contribution to reducing the distance from farm to fork by growing it’s own herbs in the garden. We serve coffee, tea and homemade pie, flammkuchen and other snacks for the small appetite and four types of burgers from cocktail to closing time. Of course you can dine in the evenings, booking is advisable. Superuse Studios in Rotterdam designed the interior according to the same philosophy; what you get up close, is good. Through a ‘harvest map’ building materials from the environment are found and re-used.
