Don't expect pizza's, but do expect real italian fare. The service was bit slow and unexperienced, we didn't get a cooler with our bottle of wine, that's why the 4 *, but teh food was great. Like a true iatalian restaurant

We happened to stay around the corner and on our first night the other place which our host recommended was closed so we had dinner at Al Bacaro. Food and wine were excellent; the atmosphere was nice, the guy serving us was very friendly and helpful and funny. To make a long story short: we went back on our second... More

Well-established restaurant run by very friendly and helpful staff who were happy to adjust the menu to meet our requests. Extensive wine list by the glass. So good we went there 3 nights in a row!

My partner C and I, read the reviews and decided on Al Bacaro as a result and it was a short walk from our apartment. It is a long narrow establishment with a pleasant ambience and we received a reception in keeping. Expect service to be slow warned C . . correctly. No offers of a drink or even a... More

Really friendly staff. Great wine. Found the food to be a bit OK. The veal and parmesan main was the best.

It is probably the best Italian restaurant in whole Europe. Friendly, typical, small, private and very very tasty place!

We went to this restaurant during Christmas holidays. We went to this restaurant 10 minutes before closing time, yet the owner said we can stay and in fact he was very friendly and made us feel welcome. I don't know if it is customary to this restaurant but he didn't show us a menu he just suggested what he could... More

The service of the gentleman running front of house was amazing. We visited this restaurant in July 2014 and it was one of my fondest memories of the European trip. Walking in with no expectations, the three of us were blown away. An empty restaurant at around 3pm between services on a weekday, so we got all of the waiter/manager's... More

Description
The taste and quality of traditional cuisine with an innovative twist, you can taste its maximum respect for nature. This philosophy is underscored by the use of fair trade products and ingredients from Italy and Netherlands. For a perfect combination with the regional dishes there are, on the wine card, many available by the glass, small scale and artisan producers from Italy. For these reasons we choose to collaborate with the projects “The Alliance between Cooks and Slow Food Presidia”. Presidia are projects of Slow Food that safeguard small-scale quality productions that use traditional methods.
