We were a huge fan of this restaurant in the last years. Every time when visit Amsterdam then went here for a steak but what we got last week is was terrible. I would like to ask the manager if they are not able to server 20 people than say NO for the booking or teach the staff how to... More

There are plenty of restaurants in zeedijk but we tried La Casa Argentina. We didn't have steak but we had chicken in a wonderful tomato and garlic sauce served with fries and salad. It was amazing ! absolutely delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The waiting staff here are very welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. We've just finished our meal and my son said it was the best steak he had ever had. The staff were really attentive and kept checking everything was ok. The decor is very traditional and feels very cosy.

Good Argentine restaurant in the Red Light District. The staff was very cheerful and helpful. The food was decent but not the greatest, it lacked flavored. Prices were also on the higher side if you're watching your wallet. Think $20 euro for a 250g steak. On the flip side, sides like rice with vegetables was $3 euro. Their steaks are... More

Went there as a group of 9, wish we hadn't !! Service wasn't great at all, burgers came without buns, steak was very poor !! asked for bread and got half cooked small baguettes that we were charged €27 for !! We ate at fine dining places and got charged less the following nights. My advice is avoid the place... More

Had food here on our first night as we forgot to book some where, what a mistake. We had beef burgers that came just a deep fried burger with cheese on top (NO ROLL) with some frozen chips, we asked for bread and were given small french stick. We were charged 25euro for the french stick, bill at the end... More

I have just thrown up the potatoes and beef from my burger. On top of that they charge (without mentioning this) EUR 1.75 for mayonaise and EUR 1 for cheese even after we indicated that we didn't want anything to drink. So, dear owner, go penetrate yourself and I hope you go bankrupt; you deserve it. I think everyone else... More

We are a French couple, and we wanted to try this restaurant... The food was really bad for the price, and they ask you to pay for everything ( bread, water...), not telling you before !!! We ate two dishes and we payed 65 euros !! Do not go there.

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighborhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
