I enjoyed the food but found it rather bland in comparison to other thai restaurants. We ordered tom yum, spring rolls, pad thai and red curry with rice and everything was pretty average. I had to put a lot of soy sauce on things to make it tastier.

Very welcoming looking venue in the heart of Amsterdam's Chinatown. Three storeys help keep the waiting time down (we had 20 mins to an available table) in this packed restaurant. Very authentic all round. Decent prices. Excellent chow mein.

It quickly became on of my favorite places in Amsterdam. Everything I tried tastes amazing, the staff is amazing, the prices are perfectly acceptable. I have nothing but praises!

The staff is very very nice - they accommodated our sleeping baby - the pram was let inside near our table as a special case and they were always smiling about it Food is great anyway - not sure if they have baby chairs or not (because the baby slept throughout) but their attitude towards baby is all that mattered... Very nice food at affordable prices. Portions are more than generous and there are lots of options. Vegan and vegetarian friendly. Great staff and good value for money. Warmly recommended.

Quite a small restaurant. Excellent service. Staff were great. And the Thai food is good as usual. We had dinner there once. Will definitely do it again.

Cheery and attentive staff. Food came out quickly and it was very tasty. Starter platter was great as you get a little taste of everything, and always love a Thai red curry.

Like many small shops restaurants and bars in Amsterdam the Jasmine Thai has a dutch feel by squeezing in lots of people into one small area. Theres not much room but don't let that put you off as the food is good and service was fine.

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighborhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
