It doesn’t seem likely the “experience” may last given the extensive construction underway around it. The rooftop platform is substantially higher than anything around it, a pleasant if windy place in fair weather. The restaurant is enclosed 2 stories below. Keep in mind that the...More

Something different, an old pirate tv station now moored in the docks, fantastic views. The menu limited but varied, food and service was excellent , a must visit even just for a drink on the roof top bar.

A very cool place to experiment. The building is not common, the view is great and the meals are simple but very good. Service is not quick but very friendly.

Thought this was a cool place to have supper. The top deck is a great place to take photos and have a drink. Sadly it was too cold when we visited to sit outside. The menu isn't very big but we all ate different things...More

The location of this restaurant is spectacular and incredibly unique as it is a former radio station tower, the decor is really outstanding as is the view. Service was reasonable, but, not outstanding. I am not often disappointed with my food to the point of...More

REM eiland was recommended by a friend of ours. We made a dinner reservation by phone and got a table on easter sunday. Expect an industrial chique former pirate tv broadcasting station that has been remodelled from a platform at sea to an extraordinary restaurant...More

We have been here last Sunday, 14 April, with a group of 5. The location is super nice with a nice view, but the food is so, so. We ordered cote de boeuf, which is supposed to serve 2, but the portion was really small...More

I chose this restaurant when I had visitors staying with me in Amsterdam because of it’s extraordinary building. Despite some good restaurants Amsterdam is not exactly a foodie paradise, and service is universally dreadful here, so hopes were moderated through experience. The building was once...More

REM Eiland is on the city side not on the "Botel" side. It is located in the "Houthavens" and is at the end of a pier where you can just walk onto the Island restaurant. (Haparandadam 45-2, 1013 AK Amsterdam)
