We live near this loaction and wanted to go out for just a bite. We walked by this small restaurant and decided to sit outside on the terrace. What a pleasant surprise it turned out to be! Ok, the seating is very close on eachother and you are next to a road so be carefull not to put you mobile... More

I was on a business trip ventured into the restaurant during the Amsterdam excursion during the layover. I had a really long week and need a good meal before the flight back . They just closed the kitchen, but the wait staff was kind enough to request to the kitchen for one last order. The foods was amazing. It tasted... More

Let's start with the good part: nice fruity beers. We (and other guests) had to wait over 2 hours to get our food. Only when we stood up to leave, the story was that there was only 1 cook due to sick colleague. This can happen of course, but tell people (with small children) up front that it will take... More

We heard good things about this restaurant and we hadn't really had Ethiopian food before so thought we'd give it a try. The restaurant is very cosy and nicely decorated, very authentic. We are vegetarians and didn't struggle at all to find something to suit. We had the vegetarian mixed platter and it comes out on a huge tray with... More

I had dinner with three of my friends here for the third time in two years. The food is absolutely delicious, no doubt about that! I always order the enjera with a selection of almost all vegetarian dishes. The only reason I do not give five stars is because of the service. We had to wait almost an hour before... More

During our short stay in Amsterdam, we were fortunate enough to have dinner here the day before they closed for holidays. I am so glad we randomly stumbled across this place, I cannot rate the food (and drink - LOVED the mango beer!) more highly. Everything was fantastic, but of particular mention were the koftas. Wow. I have never tasted... More

Situated in a lovely, bohemian neighbourhood, this is one of the best Ethiopian meals we've had (and we've been to loads of Ethiopian restaurants across the world). We had the Ibis 'special', which gives you a wide ranging selection of the menu. Delicious. They also have Mongozo beer (go for the Palmnut). We're going to the mad Greek restaurant next... More

We were in a group of 15 people and had to wait 90 minutes between ordering and getting our 4 large shared Ethiopian dishes. It was a busy time, but there was hardly a flurry of people rushing to and fro to the kitchen. During the time we had to wait there was no explanation, no apology, no extra dishes... More

This is the most social dinner I have ever had with my friends. Each course, a variety of different dishes, was served on a large silver platter and it was a wonderful free for all! A delicious combination of vegetables, lentils, herbs, spices, cheeses and meats, this was the most eclectic assortment of tastes I have ever experienced in one... More

This African restaurant is a perfect place if you want to taste authentic African food. It is a small restaurant so you have to make a reservation. There are 1 or 2 people to serve and they are really friendly. The food taste very good and they also have some special African beers.
