We went to the Abyssinia late in the evening, past 9. The atmosphere is laid-back and wonderful. From the outside, we thought it was closed, because the lights inside were dimmed. We ordered the vegetable combo on injerah, plus a fish dish. The injerah was just like I like it: light brown and sour. The toppings were delicious. I thought... More

A unique opportunity to try African food. It is served in a very original way on large plates covered with 'pankakes' filled with different food and sauces. I recommend to try a mix of different cusines, we like more vegetarian than meat version. Good South African beer, poor wines ( especially honey one ). Great dessert. Very good and attentive... All the food was delicious and the service quite joyful. Furthermore, it is quite affordable which makes it even better. Completely recommend it!

My girlfriend and me went to this restaurant one time and purchased two banana beers for 3.75€ each. Today at closing time we visited the restaurant again but we're charged 4€ for each beer. So not only the person behind the counter charged us more money as when I went to pay the card machine said 80€ to pay for... More

Me and my partner went to eat here a few weeks ago and the food was lovely! The place was very authentic and the staff were very friendly. The food comes on a big pancake and you have to eat all foodwith your hands (which can be messy) but it's all part of the fun experience! We also drank our... More

We are recommended to Abyssinia by a local resident. The decor and atmosphere was very authentic. We choose two dishes, actually much more than the two of us needed but it was delicious. As it was Tuesday evening they had their ceremonial Coffee roasting and drinking which smelt and tasted wonderful too. Annoyingly they wouldn't serve tap water, only bottled... More

This was the first time I had Ethiopian food and it was a bit of greasy experience since you eat with your fingers. However, this is they way to eat the small dishes placed on the injera. It was good and the African lager beer as well. The venue is well located and it is often very busy, but there... More

After a day of museums we decided to go for the Ethiopian restaurant, because of previous positive experiences with this cuisine. The food here was good and spicy at the right level. You will eat with your hands, which is making hangouts with friends very pleasant. The environment is relaxing with nice music. Fair prices. Highly recommended.

we ordered Tibs, fried meat, and it came with so many kinds of dishes included. this is not common in any Ethiopian restaurant. On the plate came red and turmeric based lentil stew, a sauce with potatoes and beans, salad, and cottage cheese.
