We were well greeted and shown to our table. I ordered Linguine with clams and my partner Lasagne. Both dishes were cooked to perfection and thoroughly enjoyed. The Linguine pasta was perfect and the dish really flavoursome with loads of clams. With 1/2 litre of wine the meal was excellent value at €38. Definitely recommend this place.

Perfect food with friendly staff. We didn't have to wait at all for a drinks order to be taken. All food was cooked perfectly and was out in good time. The food had that "authentic" Italian taste. Will be back

Honestly, the food was terrible. The two cokes we ordered were served in a tiny jug, and was so flat we couldn't drink it. The pizza was served with slices of lunch meat on it, honestly the worst food we ate in Amsterdam.

WE did not order pasta or pizza which probably was a mistake but ordered chicken and fish, both were dry and practically inedible. We told the waitress but she did not seem to care

My son and I went looking for this place because he felt for Italian. This is not a fancy place by any measure and the food was nothing special. The service was good and the prices were reasonable.

I dined at Tasteful just a few days ago. I was walking around in Amsterdam city centre and just looking for somewhere quick to get a good meal. I noticed a little Italian restaurant that was not busy and someone standing outside ready to open the door. I decided to give it try and it was good. Considering that I... More

The selection was amazing. They had so many different kinds of food not just pizza. The service was excellent.

We happened upon this restaurant while looking for a place to have pizza for lunch. The owner was sitting outside when we walked up and he greeted us warmly and even allowed me to take his picture with my husband in front of the restaurant. Inside, there is a section of the floor that has been replaced with clear plastic... More

Completely gutted inside so no chance of dinner here, had to carry on walking and ended up over the bridge at the Hard Rock Cafe. We were looking fo a great pizza place but couldn't find one

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighborhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
